I promised not to say anything more to Tim, but I have something to say to the last poster. Tim is 30 years old. And to his credit, I've never heard him use his autism as an excuse. As a matter of fact, he's said many times his aspergers is mild compared to most.
By which you imply what? I never said anything about using ASD as an excuse. Tim actually has an extremely sunny disposition most of the time (over the years that I have known him on this board). He isn’t all that negative if you compare to other users. There are much more negative posters than him on this board.
He just happens to grate people due to his way of thinking; hence threads like this pop up. Personally if he didn’t move people in some way there wouldn’t be threads like this.
I think what goads people are is running themes; it goes round and round in circles. Other negative posters tend to mix it up, try a different tack. But maybe Tim’s persistence could be used to his advantage.

reason he generalizes is because he's a hypocritical christian who breaks the number one rule, don't judge anyone lest you be judged. He's more than capable, if he has a college degree, of making rational observations, he just doesn't want to.
Not necessarily true. All sorts of people have got college degrees. Different components of intellect aren’t bolted together. It is a common mistake to make. For instance if someone speaks eloquently, it is common to assume that that person is of a similar intelligence to others with the same verbal skills but that can be false. Most people would be unaware that I have clinical cognitive dysfunctions. I don’t have a sicker on my forehead.
Where did you get the idea he doesn’t want to?

Also, like it or not, while I was too harsh earlier and letting my view of Tim get in the way, it's a fact, not an opinion, that most women would prefer that a man has a haircut that suits him, and doesn't shop at walmart or jcpenney for clothes. Polo shirts are extremely unattractive. Women also like men who aren't holier-than-thou and a constant whiner. This isn't exactly reinventing the wheel here.
While it may sound a compelling hypothesis, ‘facts’ have to be based on empirical proof. However I do take your, point appearance does matter. As for polo s**ts it depend who u ask, I have heard the opposite from women. Certainly those who like the ‘preppy’ look might like them. The problem with them is they have become common. They are not longer the domain of yuppies. They are ugly if worn with stains and a bear belly. Someone with an athletic build however...

Tim wants a particular girlfriend. If he really wants it, and doesn't just want to talk about it...I'm sorry, getting a better haircut and going to the Gap instead of Walmart to buy clothes isn't exactly telling him something that he can't do or making him into a person that he isn't.
What’s so great about GAP? I haven’t been to a Walmart, but with ‘off price’ shops like TK max if you are willing to look, you can get the designer label for a fraction of the cost. That's just smart.
Besides it is not necessarily the case that a potential partner is that interested in the labels. They may just want him to be presentable. An interesting clothing item might be a talking point, especially if tit is not just the usual GAP, etc. Then again they may not give a s**t either way.
So much emphasis on getting the partner through dress and trim...and then what? He has had relationships before. Not working on other things will limit his changes, and he make have to work even harder on façade than he would otherwise done.
Anyway, I sand by original statement. This thread is reactionary. It has potential, but so far not much has come out of it.
