If he needs assistance with basic hygiene, then it's starting to sound like a group home might be in order someday.

Some of my old "friends" came by the house tonight. Bragging about how much money their making. And how they go to clubs and parties every other weekends. They also talked about the women that they go out with and f**k.

I know they only bought this stuff up just to make me mad and jealous. They're POS, they will get what's coming to them.

I second the medication advice, everything he's talking about - especially not bathing in four months, sounds like severe depression. With that taken care of someone might be able to get some fight back in him.

He doesn't need medication apparently. To be honest i've never seen someone on this forum who needs medication more apart from KenM and possibly Craig28.

When I spoke about adaptation, I spoke of adapting and accepting socital norms- as in, accepting the reality of the situation you find yourself in and rolling with it. You don't have to be a conformist tool in order to function well in society. Respect yourself and others, and apply common sense, and the rest will follow.

I agree with you about alot of things, I.E. buying clothes to impress people as being stupid, as in pop culture sucks, and MTV and its ilk is trash.

Many people should change, but unfortunately that is unlikely to happen. What is a man to do? Accept it, challenge it if you will, but do not try to fight it. Simply understand it for what it is and live your life being the best person you can be.

I asked you why you want to get a girl because after reading some of your posts I just can't imagine what you would do with a girl if you did manage to get one. You don't go outside and you have no money, so that means no dates, no trips together, etc. You can only have her come over to where you live. Extremely poor hygiene means no sex. I wouldn't expect a girl to want to have sex with me if I'm reeking or if she risks getting some hygiene-related disease through physical contact with me. You say have no kind of conversation skills, so you won't be able to have any kind of meaningful conversations with her. So when you say you want to get a girl, the only kind of relationship I imagine is the two of you sitting in silence on a couch, not too close to each other, and maybe watching something on TV. Do you stand a chance of getting that kind of relationship? Yes, a girl may take you on as an extra-curricular pity project.

Maybe there isn't always a distinct need for medication, but it sure makes things easier.

 Whoops. Well, what can I say - Even NT people don't understand internet sarcasm. So I'm kinda justified here.

No. I don't want to spend money on expensive, tacky (imo) clothes just to impress people. I dress how I want to dress and people should accept me regardless of how I look.

Why should they?

hmmm this sounds strangely familiar to something I already said in this thread!

MR20: in reference to your original question, your desire for a relationship is %100 completely hopeless until:
1) You learn some basic hygiene.
2) You quit expecting the world to change to accommodate you without meeting them at least halfway.
That is just the start of what you will have to do to get a girl.

No decent looking girl would ever want me. I'm extremely ugly, I'm stupid and slow, I'm poor, I'm jobless and I have no education for a future career in anything. I'm boring, annoying, uninteresting and can't carry a conversation with a dog. Along with my hygiene problems, I'm not exactly someone that you can brag to your friends/family about being with.

It's hopeless really.

Because it's the right and moral thing to do

Why do people keep saying this? I don't need any f*****g help! I don't need "help" to act like everyone in society. I don't want to be like everyone else. They need to accept me the way I am. I don't shun people because they're different from me. I don't talk down to and make of people that I may deem inferior to me.

Again, I'm not the one that need help or needs to function better, it's obvious everyone else do.

I'm not a killer, I don't see or hear things that aren't there, I don't have OCD, I am not a paranoid schizo, I see no need for any "help".

BECAUSE YOU EFFIN' NEED HELP, DAMN IT!

Listen, all this stuff you do - not taking care of yourself or giving a damn about your self-image, isolating yourself with video games and anime, seeking revenge with your NT acquaintances because they are socially more adept than you IS NOT HELPING YOUR CAUSE A SINGLE DAMN BIT.

You're marinating in self-pity buddy. I'm not the most socially adept person I know. I've never had a girlfriend and I'm still a virgin - I know TMI. Just work on the best damn person you can be.

Damn, why are most Aspie males so damn SELF-DESTRUCTIVE?!?!
