I'd never want to date another WPer - this is where I come to get answers to my relationship problems. If my boyfriend was on here it would totally defeat the point of having useful and totally uninvolved people to help with my crazy. :P

Um... you're going to have to ask an actual question if you want answers... :P

No, I just found that to be one of the more interesting replies. :D

To me it's one of the most logical ones. I come here to get answers to my problems by uninvolved people, and vice versa (offer advice such that I can in turn).

I wouldn't unless they were somewhere here on campus (U of M @ Flint). I don't look down on anyone and their internet dating, because I see why it works for some couples. I personally just can't do it and keep up with school.

If you're referring to hale_bopp, I think I could understand someone's attraction to her. She seems sweet.

The love of my life died yesterday night. I still feel very much attached.

That's awful :(

You'll certainly be in my thoughts, and I'm sure a lot of other people here feel the same.

It sounds like it was sudden, that's the worst...

I tried it, twice.

I liked their posts and knew enough about them to know that it might be worth exploring.

I sent a totally polite PM: very preliminary, respectful, absolutely sincere - and nothing even remotely suggestive, much less overtly sexual.

In both cases I was astonished by the ferocity of the reply - to paraphrase a little bit:

"LISTEN, IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A HOOK-UP, YOUR CHANCES ARE ZERO - GOT IT?"

I'm not exaggerating at all, you would have thought I wrote: "Hey baby, wanna f*ck? "

This happened almost exactly the same way, twice! Naturally I didn't attempt it again...

Is this this typical of Aspie females?

Grisha,

Happy New Year! How is Southern California doing?

I have always maintained the contention that the most interesting animal is the human animal as people will never cease to amaze you!

No doubt your emails to the women were "respectful and sincere." In this life everyone has their chosen paradigm in terms of how they they choose to comport themselves n interpersonal interactions with others. Based upon your persona in your posts, I find that your communication style smacks of directness tempered with subtlety and tact.

In simplest terms, the hostility thrust upon you appears to speak volumes about the two women - and has nothing to do with you! Quite frankly, these two females appear to be delusional hags who assumed erroneously that you were trying to seduce them. Again, some people will never cease to amaze me!

And So It Goes said Vonnegut!!

Excelsior - onwards and upwards!! !
