I have a good, fond friend with whom I had a sexual experience lately. I think he's going to chicken out of taking it further, though. He's still making his mind up. I told him it's totally up to him. I don't think it'll go further but that could just be me being pessimistic. It didn't change the friendship at all or create a weird atmosphere, so nothing lost so far.

Lets just hope whatever deities you're entreating are currently awake.

I thought that god was always awake/omnipresent, but that god didn't always answer our prayers the way we'd always like.

I dunno, life is so messed-up I always reckoned that god (if it exists) either had off-days or was a bit of a dick.

I long have thought that god had a fairly strict "hands off!" policy regarding his creation. IOW god lets us make our own mistakes to learn from, for better or worse.

The fact that it made us with the potential to be so terrible (probably even foresaw it) means it's probably a bit of a dick.

Don't think there is a creator, anyway.

There are some origin stories that feature gods, but not a creator...

I, personally, pray to Joe Peschi

Gods in most pagan traditions are as flawed as humans, anyway.

what d'y'all think of the thought, that we might all [everything in the universe] be part of god. so that we both are the observed as well as the observers.

If you're a pantheist, then what do you pray to?

Feels a bit like dropping a penny into a deep, deep well.

Or pissing in the wind, to be overly crude.
