Anyone who posts a GIF like that is probably not genuinely amused, but very, very angry.

I can't speak for others, but an "eating popcorn" image is my way of expressing genuine amusement... not anger.

In fact, I don't have a clue why you'd think it's an expression of anger.

Unless you count womens gymanstics/figure skating, WWE (for the women wrestlers), L.A. Clippers Dance Squad on E!, or magic shows on TV (for the scantily-clad assistants), as porn, then you're wrong :P

You're still spending a lot of time looking at very beautiful women, which makes women in real life seem homely by comparison. I used to have really high standards for beauty, but then I stopped looking at porn, and now women look much more attractive to me.

It's not the image. It's the unintended meaning behind it. Just think about it for a while. It'll come to you. :D

EDIT: Just FYI, I have a gift for seeing through other people's bullsh!t. You may be fooling other people, and maybe even yourself, but you're not fooling me.

I think the woman eating the popcorn is rather cute, actually.

I don't see anger. It's possible, though, that the woman doesn't want to appear intellectual to her friends.

Though this is only speculation on my part.

What does "high maintenance" mean?

When "high maintenance" is spoken of in a dating context, it means that one partner expects the other partner to buy expensive presents, or maintain said partner in an expensive apartment--things like that.

Think of Eartha Kitt's "Santa Baby."

It can also mean that one partner has quite a lot of emotional baggage which the other partner has to deal with.

It simply refers to: very hard to pleased...having very high standards...

Thank you Boo! He'd have to focus on the other 2% because the other 98% wouldn't want to go out with him if they're smart! (no pun intended)

How does one come to that conclusion just by looking at a picture? Kinda judgemental isn't it? You might be crossing off a good person just because of looks.

Would you rather want a low - standard girl? I'd like a guy who had some standards about him instead of just a"dud".

Not really. You can tell by the picture that those women spend a lot of time looking nice, it's obviously important to them, exceptionally important or they wouldn't spend the time. One can assume they're spending that time to look nice to increase their value, thus they'll want a return on that investment-- that's where high maintenance comes in.

LOL....where does it say that I came to that sort of conclusion based upon looking at a picture?

That's what this whole thread is about - looking at these girls pictures and coming to a conclusion of how they are in real life - including the OP.

I also don't like the term "high maintenance". I would then consider calling a lot of guys "low maintenance" because a lot of them tend to have very little ambition to do much in life, imo.
