Something I get told a lot is that I need to exercise more but when I see guys who are fat with girlfriends, it confuses me. Why aren't they slimming down and building muscle?
Perhaps they are not aspies. Personally I think that it's much easier to lose weight than acquire NT social skills. But it's up to you to decide what you should improve. Anyone can improve something about themselves.
I exercised like crazy but my body wouldn't respond to my efforts. I still have man boobs, a chubby belly unless I suck it in, butt fat, a double chin, bony shoulders, and skinny forearms. Some think I am a "weakling" or gay because I have a weak handshake no thanks to my small hands in comparison to most guys.
It’s physiologically impossible for your body not to respond to working out. How many months of following strict daily regimen did you try?
I've been through this with him already. He exercised but his diet was still bad. I'd imagine maybe even very bad seeing as he's said he's pre-diabetic. I guess it's easier to conclude that exercise doesn't work and do nothing than change diet and actually get results.
Well, the rednecks and hip hop thugs I knew still ate cheeseburgers and downed six packs of beer but they still lost weight and put on muscles. The former played football while the latter played basketball so that may have helped. There's very little middle ground to those groups, though. They either could be very fit or morbidly obese with a fex average exceptions but they still get girlfriends regardless of their appearances.
I also got conflicting views from different people on how to exercise. Some said to do it every day while others said do it every other day. I found out the hard way ellipticals don't do jack s**t, especially if you aren't elderly or don't have weak joints. All it did was make me feel hot but my muscles didn't feel any burn.
