I don't get that attitude. I seem to be the one courting this man at the moment. Sometimes it worries me, I think he may not really be interested because I organise most of our meet ups, but he does always say yes, so he's no uninterested.

I guess men would feel the same anxiety about a passive woman.

Are they group meetups or one to one?

[Color=red]Yes, but probably to a lesser extent because it's expected of us to ask. We only need worry if we have to always do the chasing and it's like pulling teeth. As long as reciprocal interest is shown we're largely fine with arranging everything more or less most of the time.

Have you made it explicit that your meetups with this guy have romantic connotations?[color=red]

It happens all the time. Women do ask out men. I'd advise against using anecdotes as evidence here.

However, there *is* a social stigma against women who do this. Some see it as "being too forward."

Also, this idea about "women only asking out attractive men" doesn't make sense. Attractiveness is subjective. Also generally, if you like a person, they'll look more attractive to you, and if you dislike a person, they'll look less attractive, so there's that.

any successful, long-term relationships, that started as a result of the woman asking the man out first, making the first move?

I've been asked out, and I've asked people out. And the length and quality of the relationship (in my experience) has no bearing on who-is-asking-out-whom.

But if you want real data, you'll probably have to survey a large group of people. There may be studies. I don't know - I haven't checked, but now I'm curious.

the only way i'll ever enter a relationship (the only way i ever HAVE entered relationships) is if someone else makes the first move

i'm completely dependent on others approaching me because i don't know how to approach, i'm too stupid

so don't be afraid.

Complete and utter bollocks to put it bluntly

And don't post any red pill BS to back up your opinion

So you think women ask out men they find ugly?

So if you are not good looking then you are ugly ? That's a bit black and white Sly.

I can't answer your question as I don't have the answer.

life is black and white. there is no "color", it's all in our heads.

"Ugly" is in the mind of the beholder. My wife calls me 'handsome', among other endearments, yet I look in the mirror and see only a bald, stooped, old man with a gimpy walk.

Handsome? Not in my mind. But as long as my wife thinks otherwise, then I'm happy.

To be fair though, I get the impression that sly doesn't talk to many women.

I've only been asked out by women (I'm a man).
