I am working on being truthful and not "tactful." It's getting me into lots of trouble but it feels really good. I realise there is no point in an opinion if people just tell you what you want to hear. Am I metamorphosing into an aspie?

The more I look into Asperger's the more I feel like I'm home, everything just clicks. Wish people had known more about it back in the day. People were so ignorant, basically things just went undiagnosed back in the day. Maybe now too?

thank you for the educational video :study: actually when i was in single digits, i was initially dx'ed by two different kid shrinks, as being variously schizoid or schizotypal. i read something about schizotypal autism and that fits me best of all.

The Latvians, as a nation, apparently go to similar lengths to avoid personal interaction. I read an interesting article to that effect the other day. Can't recall where.

I went to a couple different shrinks/therapists as a teenager. The two that had a diagnosis would not let me see my diagnosis. They kept making excuses as to it being misplaced somewhere. Probably to do with homosexuality is my guess, they didn't want to have that discussion due to the parents possibly removing me from their practice. Otherwise I could see no reason why they wouldn't share the info. The other therapists didn't know me long enough to really determine anything. One just never even said anything, he just sat and listened, occasionally asking questions. Not very helpful if you ask me.

i gather a lotta kid shrinks are like politicians in that you can get the truth out of them only if you pry it outta them.

Sadly, that's how the world works today. If they can't explain what's going on with you, they assume whatever fits in their mind. You're either a homo or a 'Playah' to them.
