You contrasted a 40-year-old virgin who can never get laid with a high-rolling player who has sex with a large number of women without considering anything between those two extremes. I felt the need to point out the problem.

I'm aware I have other options. But the problem is none of them are what I want.

As is the case with most of humanity.
Overwhelmingly, most people settle.
Hardly the ideal situation.

Browse through the stats on relationship failures.
That will put a smile on your dial. ;)

You/we deserve what you/we get for letting yourself/ourselves be conceived.

How did you communicate with the big guy before you had a brain?

i don't quite get what you mean by "before i had a brain" - these were dreams as an adult upon turning age 27, after i did a "george bailey prayer" and asked god to show me the way. i was shown a few of my previous lifetimes which indicated why my present lifetime was the way it was.

So are you Christian or Hindu?

Clearly you dreamt about something you spent a lot of time thinking about, which is how dreams work. So nothing out of the ordinary.

If you can delude yourself into genuinely believing that you reincarnate in a infinite number of lives, it should be easy for you take solace in the belief that even if your current life sucks you'll get countless other chance to start out young and get it right. But I'm saddled with the reality that this is the only life I'll ever get, and its already going down the toilet.

i'm sorry man. :( i know something of how it feels, believe me. and i'm neither xtian nor hindu. just plain "new age." i've had too many paranormal experiences [along with the females in my family] for me to just chalk it up to "something i et."

Have you ever heard of the James Randy challenge? Despite the countless claims of supernatural experiences, no one has ever been able to produce any kind of supernatural event under laboratory conditions. And every time someone was able to examine any alleged supernatural event using scientific equipment and methods, it was always discovered to have a perfectly rational explanation. The human brain has an uncanny track record for self deception and erroneous interpretation of events. 99% of the time any alleged supernatural experience is explained by someone jumping to assumptions when they witness something they don't understand. People swear that they saw a UFO or a ghost or some other such nonsense, and their reasoning is always I don't know or understand what I saw therefore it must be X.

my late father's voice roused me out of a sleep a day after he died. his voice woke my mother up also simultaneously. he said "hi bruce" to me and "hi honey" to my mom. how would you explain that?

I don't think explanations will do you much good.
