I mentioned this topic to my daughter and she said there's a huge movement on TikTok of young women saying they like big men, meaning the chubby overweight ones as opposed to the muscular ones. It started with a song and turned into a whole social media thing. I looked at some of the videos and read the comments below. Most women are saying the same thing, that they like men with a belly instead of hardbody types, and they think "big guys" are more attractive.

I'm not saying if that's true or false because everyone can have their own opinion. I just thought I'd use this to counter the squirrel video comments.

There are all sorts of these videos online showing young women who like big guys. The song wasn't supposed to be about tall guys but somehow they've been lumped in too.

I plan on losing 10 kgs.
My partner likes the way I look and doesn't think it is necessary.
I explained to her that it is a question of health rather than appearance.

This may come as a shock to some ppl, but being significantly overweight is unhealthy.
It also reduces the ability to comfortably do chores around the house, etc.

There are some women who find men with a little extra "meat" attractive, but if you look at couples in the street, both tend to be comparable in "weight "status, keeping gender differences in mind.

My daughter said the concern is that a lot of the bodybuilder types have eating disorders or Body Dysmorphia / BDD. I’m not trying to body shame anyone. If a person wants to go to gyms or date someone with a hardbody that’s fine. Each to their own. Im just pointing out the diversity of women’s thoughts on the topic.

There is diversity, but you need to look at "The Bell Curve" distribution. 8)

Funny but Twilight, babybird, Joe and I have all said we like tummies. I may be forgetting some people too. No one said they have to be obese but it seems you think anyone who is even slightly above average in weight is obese, unhealthy, or unattractive.

I’m glad we’re all allowed our own opinions and I’m glad at least some of us are open to diversity.

Up to a point.

Ppl on the autistic spectrum make up a small proportion of the population.
I am under the impression the context here is humanity in general.
Autistic ppl see the world significantly differently from NTs, and this "needs" to be considered, IMO. 8)

Brick shitehouses sound great to me. Big in general is great, especially if it’s from hard labour instead of a gym (imo).

I didn’t say the person has to be big from eating too much. Actually, I didn’t give an opinion at all except I wouldn’t want to hug the squirrel guy or anyone with no body fat who is very trim like that.

”Fat” guys are sometimes really attractive even without obvious muscle. I loved John Belushi and John Candy because of their personality and the way they treated people. My daughter and her girlfriend are hot for Hopper from Stranger Things and they’re not even hetero.

Just remembered Sweetleaf likes big men with tummies too.

Each to his own.

Being overweight is not healthy and will reduce your life span.
Not particularly an attractive trait in a partner. 8)

Would you mind not debating this?

Are women not allowed to have opinions here?

Yep, this is L&D on WP. A post is made by a male poster about how women think. Women provide their opinions and perspectives. Certain male posters tell them they are wrong.

The consistency is remarkable.

I mean, if Pepe's attracted to muscular men that's his choice right?

We’ve established that Pepe did not find John Candy attractive. That’s true.

Sure, looks count; but then what?

If all someone has is looks, they may as well be one of those plastic "love-bots" -- no intelligence, no personality, nothing.

Looks attract, and everything else keeps.

Personality is the most important quality in a partner in a relationship, period. 8)

The good thing is, if they die early I can dig all their gold because that's the only other reason I date.

I don’t think their outfits are that flattering. I want to see more rhinestones, like in figure skating.

I was just admiring one of the big fat coaches on the side.
Seriously.

It would also allow for more variety. It gives one the opportunity to move on to someone else.

Simply look at the couples around you.
Empirical evidence is empirical evidence.

BTW, what part of "Bell Curve' don't you understand?
