When i heard that, i got both depressed and angry, resentful, because its another reminder of what happens to men more than women.

Why do you sound like you only sympathize with men in that position and only care about the problem because you believe it happens more frequently to men?

I do sympathize with women who end up in situations like that, its just i don't hear of women ending up in situations like that so much, more frequently i hear of them happening to men.

Enough women on here and in other autistic spaces comment on it, they just seem to get drowned out by men complaining that it's a male problem and not listening to any evidence or anecdotes that run contrary to that narrative.

even though i have said this before, i am open to believing it though, that is, women likely just choose to not disclose that info publicly as much as men do.

I remember i saw another guy make a rant about that, on how it seems far more men than women end up staying chronically alone and single later than normal, or a virgin later than normal, how it seems cruel and unjust, one guy made a rude comment to him by saying "get over the comparison", and then he says "what are you gonna do, try to become president and enact a law that women have to approach men?".

That comment was very enraging to read.

That could be a factor. Straight men might just be the cohort most likely to feel entitled to complain about struggles in this regard.

Differences in how the cohorts define having a partner/being in a relationship might contribute too.

It would be interesting to see what the trends are like beyond heterosexual partnerings as well, like if people who are attracted to women and struggle share trends that people who are attracted to men and struggle deviate from.

If it's way more common for straight men it's worth understanding why that is or what factors add up to make that the case, and that ultimately means having to understand it more broadly. It probably will also involve looking into people who resemble these cases but had different outcomes.

an example, there is this woman TikTok user, who goes by the username Madmnc, she claims she never had a boyfriend until 42.
