I've actually asked women this very question. Here is the answer I got: nice guys are boring. While not all women believe this, there are a lot that do.
I'm a nice guy. Whew, that was hard to say.
Anyways, I'm a nice guy. But on the surface, I'm boring. I mean boring, as in quiet and monotone voice boring. Of course, that's Ben "in the shell". Most people don't get to see me when I open up. You see, it takes me a long time (usually) to warm up to someone and show them what I'm really like. But once these people see the real me, I'm far from being boring. Even then, I still have to get back in the shell while at school lots. Why? Because "out of the shell" Ben is loud and sometimes hard to deal with. Sometimes I'm somewhere inbetween. hen I have to speak queitly, I just make witty observations in my very low key voice. Sadly, I'm at my best socially when nearly passed out from exhaustion at work and when it's very later at night. My guard COMPLETELY drops after certain hours or after certain amounts of physical work followed by nothing but constant standing. I just wish there was a way to let "out of the shell" Ben out at school, I'd probably have a girlfriend.
For those of you who don't want to read my rant, here's what I said:
Nice guys are usually just boring on the surface and can be fun once you get to know them.
