Life is a dating site. :P

Sophist, whats your point?
WHY should I assume that whenever I am discussing something in a thread on WP or ANY other kind of discussion forum with a woman of the opposite sex that its a potential date and that by agreeing with her I'll actually increase the chances of *hooking up* with her???There was Nothing that NLG said to even suggest that she participated in this discussion for the sake of picking up men! SHeesh!
I think we know by now that kissing ass to a woman is NOT going to get her to sleep with you if she isnt attracted in the first place. Duh!

No offense, but I think you're pointing your defensiveness in the wrong direction, D1.

What I meant in a humorous way is that if you separate out "just talking online" from "romance" then you're gonna limit yourself to women you meet only in "dating mode". Friends are a great way to start out a relationship, so why not just continually be open to relationships? I'm not saying to be in constant search mode, but let come what comes.

I agree completely. But in this case I really dont think that NLG has any intention of even being just friends with me. Merle was suggesting a possibility which shows no evidence of being actuality.

so, dating behaviour is something you 'put on' when you are dating? And when you are having a discussion that is not' on a date' you comport your self differently?

Of COURSE! Just because Im an aspie doe NOT mean that I behave exactly the same way regardless of the occasion or who I happen to be talking to. I think you will find that the VAST MAJORITY of people, even those who arent NT, tend to do so if they have the ability to.

so, what I was saying is, if you act a different way when you are 'dating' than you do when you are 'not dating' isn't that playing a 'game?'

If you are not yourself when you are getting to know someone, then who are you?

When you date someone that also brings a 'dating' mentality to the date, then who are they?

and then . . when both people get together and miscommunication happens, then you have demons from hell that live only to torment men/women.

that's all I am sayin'

mileage may vary, of course

First of all, what makes you think that norther_light_girl and I are getting to know each other? We were discussing
something in particular and so there was a misunderstanding.....Big Hairy Deal. As for who I really am, you will NEVER know my friend  . If you were to meet me in person you would discover that who I am in real life is NOT who
I am online :D . Thats also what I find about many people Ive met online who I later meet in person.

Women are manufactured this way now.
Get used to it men.

The world is changing so I think.
Women are now the head of household.
There's going to be a million Nancy Graces marching around
when I'm fifty and I'm terrified!

This recipe is perfect for Islam and Pagan worship.
The catholic church tried it's hardest when Jesus died to turn the goddess into a god.
The powers that be are reverting and in a most inhospitible timespan covered with
hedonism at its worst, and plastic means of living from cellphones to computers.
You're all f****d.

Are you not f***ed as well, Averick? A real man would not say that. Do gay males consider themselves women as well?

Haven't I seen this exact same topic years ago by the same poster? Wow this is unfortunately getting old. There are some men that are just as bad as women. Noone's perfect, good grief.

I can see where you get a lot of this from, but the part about the Catholic Church trying to turn "the goddess into a god" is false and manufactured.

Question-

Maybe this sounds just as ignorant as the topic but why Islam?

Doesn't that put women down if not more than Christianity from a female perspective?

Don't men have the upper hand in the religion by having more than one wife. Also if a woman is suspected of adultery or having sexual relations before marriage, isn't she automatically stoned to death or ostracized by family and friends?

Maybe I missed something here... :?

To Christians, Muslims, and Jews women have traditionally been child-bearing chattle.
