Name: Tim

Age: 28

Height: 5'10"

Weight: 195 lbs.

Location: Wichita Falls, Texas (northwest of Dallas-Ft. Worth)

Interests: geology, architecture, art, independent films, foreign languages and cultures, Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, transportation, traveling, ghost towns, outdoor activities.

More about me: I am in a junior at Midwestern State University, majoring in geology. I am politically and socially liberal. I am doing well at living independently, and I am perfectly capable of holding a job. I am very goal-oriented, and flexible.

What I am looking for: Someone with similar interests and beliefs as me, someone who is funny, affectionate, goal-oriented, and is fun to be with. Location is not important, because sometimes one has to go a little further and search harder for that special someone, and because I don't plan on staying in Wichita Falls after graduation.

Hi, my name is Daniel. I'm 36 years old and have Asperger's. Superficially I look very high-functioning, i.e. I hold a job and live independently. Underneath the surface though, there are problems: I find it difficult to cope with my emotions and to make friends. Although I appear to be "normal", my way of relating to the world is definitely Aspie!

I'm facing a dilemma.
On the one hand, I don't have any close friends and live on my own. I feel lonely, and the loneliness often gets at me.
On the other hand, I find it overloading to have to relate to the world and cope with life. I need some peaceful and quiet times on my own to recover.
I'm sure that many of you Aspies out there will identify with that!

I am looking for a special close friend of the opposite sex, to share experiences and happy times with, and for mutual support. I don't, however, think that I will ever want to live with anyone full-time, and I definitely do not want children.

The person I am looking for will need to be able to hold a reciprocal conversation and have overcome her tendency to perseverate and monologue, at least to the extent that she doesn't get on my nerves all the time. Having said that, I understand what it is like to be Aspie, and I am prepared to accommodate someone's special needs, just as I expect her to accommodate mine.

I am also an atheist, and keen to understand reality from a scientific and philosophical perspective; I am looking for someone who shares this worldview.

I live on the south coast of England.

If you are interested in getting in touch, please contact me following Wrongplanet's procedure.

I was diagnosed with PDD when I was 14. Right now I usually spend my time playing the Sims, working on my art, watching the Daily Show and coming on-line to chat and look up information on Natural Building. In my dream life I would live in a little cob house and grow all of my own food and only work doing things I love like doing art and building houses.

:)

I have a very similar vision for my life. I'm aiming to grow a lot of my own food, only work part time and spend my spare time doing things I like, such as studying Science and philosophy as a hobby.

I wish I lived in America and could meet you!

I'm a 25 year old male from small town Wisconsin. I'm 6'2", 200lbs. I've got brown hair, blue eyes. I enjoy gardening/farming, biking, camping, dogs, green living, among other things. I lead a simple life, mainly spending time either by myself or with family. I'm just looking for someone with similar interests/desires/values as I hold. I'm a non-smoker who enjoys a drink every now and then although I highly dislike being drunk. That's the basics, any women who'd like to get to know me better drop me a line.

Reposting, as seems to be SOP here. Moderate edits although.

Adam

Age: 19

Sex: Male

Diagnosis: AS

Interests:
Piano, singing (opera), composing, conducting, philosophy, meta ethics, metaphysics (primarily epistemology), politics, linguistics

(I'm not pretentious though)

Political Views: Moderate Progressive

Looking for: Female who shouts highly emotional, partially incoherent philosophical theories as we listen to Bach and drink tea, with whom I can lay around when either gets to emotional to function; someone to stim with

Positive Attributes:
My standards of ethics in interpersonal relationships are excessively high. Ergo, I will always be attentive, loyal, and straightforward.
I pride myself on my vocabulary.
I can sing and play the piano (I don't generally do both simultaneously, although I can).
This list of things about which I'm willing to speak is vast.
I have a relative inclusive theory of mind.
I am a Romantic (note the capital R).

Negative Attributes:
I talk rather excessively (I don't really find this to be a negative, but...).
I lack discipline.
I am pedantic.
I shout highly emotional, partially incoherent philosophical theories at people.

Neutral Attributes that may be of consequence:
I very much enjoy physical affection. (This means that I like to cuddle, not that I'm a nymphomaniac.)
I practice piano several hours per day.
I am always listening to music and 80% of the time, that music is concert music (known to most as "classical", although that term really only encompasses the music from 1750-1820).
Okay.....I am a little pretentious (but I'm not mean).
I speak fluent German.
My two closest friends are a female with whom I spend a lot of time and a trans-boy (i.e. FtM) with whom I frequently cuddle. Warning the possessive variety up front there are certain aspects of control they must forego. No fear. I don't cheat.

well, I guess I'll give it a shot.

Wilco

Age: 15

Sex: Male

Diagnosis: AS although tests say im a bit NT and a bit AS

intrests: Biology, Health care or other ways to help people, music, AS, feelings (as in how does everyone feel in whatever situation)

Location: Enkhuizen

Looking for: Female who is understanding, sweet, someone I can laugh with but she must be able to be serieus sometimes. a support, so someone I can really share myself with.

Postive things:
I can shut up and listen as long as you want (and listen as in really hear what you say)
I am romantic.
I have learned to put myself at a second place somethimes for others, but also when I should and shouldnt do that. (in other words I don't let people take advantge of me)
I'm patient.
I'm attentive and Loyal
I'm doing what I can until the very end. In other words I don't drop friends just because of one fight.
For an AS my social skills are god, but for an NT person it's not good enough. (I'm working on it : P)

Negative things:
I can be a very, very bad learner if something really doesn't intrest me
Somethimes I can get a very, very wrong view of a situation.
I have a really hard time to get someone's attention
I have a really hard time to know wether someone is lieing or not.
My English is ok, it could be much better though (because I am Dutch)
I can't dance oO

Neutral things:
I like almost any type of music, game or TV program, sport etc etc, as long as I'm doing something.
People somethimes call me "wise" but I have never got a real honest opinion about myself from others, so I don't know if that's really true.
I can be very, very shy, but one or two small talks can take that all away. As for new situations, I feel uncomforable in them, but I can adapt.
I can drive my friends really crazy, they never want to tell me exactly why, but it's probably because I have no idea how a normal conversation works. (not what to say, but the timing) luckily they can see through this and when a normal conversation starts we have loads of fun.

Oh and I'm trying not to be serieus as much as I can because I think that makes life much more fun ^^. I AM serieus when I need to be, like right now. somethimes it confuses people they don't know if I'm serieus or not, but I take the time to explain. Live, Laugh, Love, and Live your Life Like YOU Like It. :D

I just joined today and I am excited about participating in the WP forums.

I am looking for a new girlfriend and don't care anymore to think of life love as a "game". Reviewing what I've learned from dating and reading the Mystery Method, I've concluded that some information Mystery imparts is very useful. Really useful is his method on how to use body language, and other mechanisms to make others feel more comfortable around you. He also talks about creating a persona through "peacocking", which is good for Aspies who naturally learn to use acting in social situations.

Regardless, I'm not down with the over gregarious alpha-male method, but confidence in who you are amounts for a lot. Don't forget hygiene!

I'm 25, male, currently living in Salem, Oregon.

The female I'm looking for would have to be smart, independent, and yet still be looking for someone she could rely on not only as an equal, but a protective guy to be her support when the situation arises.

Mostly I'm looking for someone who can appreciate classical music (I'm starting to find opera particularly enjoyable), fine wine, REAL automotive racing (formula one, the World Rally Championship, the Dakar, and motocross/supermoto), physical fitness, and weekend adventures in the vast wilderness of the Central Oregon desert.

Particularly, as I'm looking at a motorcycle purchase within this year, I want to find someone that would join me for a spur of the moment decision to just jump on a pair of dual-sport bikes with sleeping bags, tents, and camping gear in tow for a weekend of cross-country riding.

Furthermore, she has to understand I am a man who believes in self-reliance, and the phrase "better paranoid than dead". My family's heritage since our arrival in the 1600's to America has involved being the Indian fighters, pioneers, game wardens, cowboys, and revolutionaries that defined this nation. We are not hicks, but instead are descended from ranchers and explorers which migrated west.

Therefore, she has to understand the gun in all it's various forms is not just a weapon in my hands, but a part of me which I cannot live without. It is a symbol of my desire to protect my freedom through my own means, and is a tool that no man in my lineage has ever lived without. Those who are skittish around weapons, or who claim knife or sword collection is superior need not apply.

I'm 23, male, live in Ghent, Belgium

I like adventure, discovering new things. I am always active, if I am not working, I am doing a little project or I study things I am interested in. I also enjoy simple things like watching the sunset, having a walk or just relaxing.

My interests are: movies (especially independent movies), music (rock, blues, classic), playing guitar, and doing little personal projects of myself and people I know (making little movies, theatre lighting,...) and researching technical things about video/lighting, art.

My favorite places ever: Venice, Rome (I speak Italian), Barcelona, Las Vegas, NY
One day, I would love to take my car on a road trip through europe.

I am looking for a girl for a relationship or just as a good friend. I am a very sweet guy and a good listener.

I like having fun, anyway here is a picture of me on Pacific Beach (about to jump into the sea).

like ive been known to wear a few dresses but not very often and i get along much better with guys then girls. girls are mean hateful creatures at a young age and i dont feel i act that way or want to be around them.hanging with all guys means i get seen as one of the guys with my guy friends so i have to wear dresses to remind them im still a girl who still counts as a dateing prospect. but truth be told im a filmaker who has found that films are funnier when your friends are younger versions of the cast of jackass.

I see, that's defenitly a pro. I never really listen to the: he said that she said etc. it's more confusing then maths :?

and girls can always be mean, it's not so bad when they are young
