People misinterpreted something I said on here, and it cost me a potential friendship. I send a like-minded person a PM, and it was deleted without ever being read, and I was blocked from her IM, when I never said anything inappropriate to her.

The very people I am trying to attract are now avoiding me.

No, it was someone else, and I prefer not to say.

So I should NOT date a Christian, then?

Oh, don't worry too much about the labels that people assign themselves.

Not all people who call themselves Christians are the goody-two-shoes that they are supposed to be. Look at Sarah Palin's daughter.
Pre-marital sex, and I wouldn't be surprised if she gave him oral.

When you think about Ted Haggard, and the various pedophile priests, there may be considerably more sexual immorality among Conservative Christians than among others. They just put on a lot more pretenses, and are very strong in their negative attitudes towards others.

Yes, it's called "hypocrisy." ;)

I'm not sure you can define one to be a Christian solely on the basis of whether one has premarital sex or not.

Also, one that abstains from premarital sex and yells loudly on the highest of highs that they are a Christian doesn't necessarily make them a Christian.

Exactly my point.

Christians are also tolerant, compassionate, and open-minded.

I'm conservative, but far from Christian. In fact, I'm tired of the fact that those two things are always lumped together. What a ridiculous world we live in.

As for Aspies, I don't have to worry about that, and they will understand that I am a full-time student. There is no obsession with social status among Aspies.

Talk about placing us on a pedestal, Really who feeds you this BS? I am not surprised this female didnt reply to your PM, you seem so close minded and stuck on labels a relationship with you seemingly will not be much fun. Another pseudo nice aspie guy, yawn.

I have a question, Tim. Say you find this young woman. Say you get along well and she is the broad minded sexually interested liberal hipster of your dreams. Would you take her home to mom and dad? Would you plan your wedding and where you are going to buy a house and plan your children and a family life together? Is that your intentions?

One more thing about Conservative and Christian women:

they are reputed to adore, honour and obey their husbands.

Even if she were basically asexual, she would be expected to submit herself to you entirely as of the wedding night.

So, if you told her that you wanted a blow job, she would probably feel compelled to comply. Of course, she will warn you of what happened to Onan, but, as the head of the household, it would be entirely on your head anyway.

Exactly.

Furthermore, since there are no female Aspies in the San Antonio-Austin area who like the Simpsons and South Park, I have no choice but to do a long-distance relationship.

Also, I feel that if I don't have the checklist, I am worried that I will feel the need to be authoritarian and have the final say on everything in a relationship.

Tim, you are even more clueless than I thought. That is without a doubt the dumbest thing I have ever heard anyone say. If someone feels the need to be authoritarian in a relationship then that person has no business being in one at all. That fact that you are a conservative, Christian Aspie who likes Simpsons. South Park and other artsy hipster stuff has absolutely nothing to do with why you are not in a relationship. Wake up, open your mind, re-read all of the good advice you have been given and get a clue.

I don't know who is influencing you, Tim, but you might benefit from a little one-on-one from a counselor. Your ideas are really out there.
