trojan51 is somehow ...shedding some ugly reality here, It's called peer influence and it's usually devastating for those with commonly undesired characteristics.

Rare the people who would not give a s**t about what others might think about their date, or even about their potential date.

Fact is, most people do care, and get too embarrassed by what others would say.

I once heard a colleague girl telling her friend :"but he's too short! you can get a taller one!" (they were talking about another guy, not me). So this phenomena hurts the chances of short people too.

It is probably for that same reason why most taller girls never accept to dance with me in public. The only taller_than_me girl that accepted my dance request in my life (so far) was a communist girl with a hippie dressing style , that's probably because she's of the type of people who don't give a s**t about what others might think whether of her "weird" taste in clothing or even her taste...in guys.

and it's for that same reason , why many secular people fear to date someone of another sect/civilization/race fearing of what the family/friends might think, say or even taunt.

YESSSSSS, you interpreted my message 100%, it is peer influence. If women want to be fat and are proud of it then thats ok with me, but they can't go expecting to get men when they are fat.

Imagine what we have to go through, so even men who like fatter girls are afraid to date them in fear of taunts from other men.

Excuse me for not feeling terribly sorry for people who CHOOSE to surround themselves with bigoted idiots, and who submit their lives to their approval.
Grow a spine.

Why, is that, exactly? Talking for everyone else with a penis yet again? In all the time this thread has been going on, there have been several men who flat-out disagree with your declarations about the universal un-attractiveness of fat women, and you've yet to acknowledge them. Are you truly interested only in preaching?

I did educate myself online and read about what it is like to be a fat woman, and its brutal, i feel very sorry for them.

Yes, how dare people promote self-love and respect for all human beings regardless of what size they are.
I guess you don't "feel sorry for" us enough to stop spewing stereotypes and declarations about our failures to be the size you think we "should", huh?

That's just nonsense. There are plenty of guys out there that happily chase bigger girls.

There are some quite big "fat forums" (hint hint) dedicated to this very subject.

I know that any woman who is fat would lose weight if it was easy to do or if she could make a wish come true even though we can't always get what we want. Why are people proud of being obese?

God you really are an idiot aren't you. Do you want a shovel? Looks like you've worn that one out.

Maybe because they fell in love with the rest of her and looked past physical appearance and liked her for who she was on the inside

Some of them "looked past" her appearance.

And some men are ACTIVELY ATTRACTED to and even PREFER overweight women.

Why is this so hard for you to admit?

People don't always really choose to surround themselves with people that might have some bigoted backward views. Some people need the approval of their family , siblings , relatives and even friends when it comes to some bf/gf.

Some of the disapprovals can be explicit ("ie. I don't want you to date him my daughter because..." or even indirect ("ie. What do you really find in him?")

Didn't you tell me earlier that your parents wouldn't approve your marriage to a non-white guy? and that you would never do it without your parent's approval?

Yes, weightism/heightism/lookism are as bad and bigoted as racism.

Ever heard of a chubby chaser?

And like a previous poster said, there are sites that cater to people with a fat fetish. Ever heard of an eater/feeder relationship before?

Anyway, I'm done here. This is dangerously close to adult forum content and I don't wish to get it moved with my big mouth. :-X

Then you've also never heard of men that are attracted to 80+ year old women then, I suppose? Just because you haven't heard of them doesn't mean they don't exist.
