When I went to Czech this year, most food there is sausages and meat....and mashed potato and cabbage ....I missed the fresh vegetables there :lol:.

I googled Czech food, and I got a stomach ache just from looking at the pictures, it all looks so heavy...

^^^ There is probably a reason why there are Chinese restaurants, Italian restaurants, Japanese restaurants etc but no Duch or Czech restaurants? :D
Yeah, pretty much everything here is potatoes mashe with cabbage or some other vegetable. Or potatoes next to some vegetable that is boiled to crap and a piece of meat. And sausages, and of course meatballs. Oh, the meatballs! And red cabbage, sauerkraut, beets, kale, coliflower. I actually like food like that, and hutspot and boerenkool are some of my favorites. Cabbage is actually quite healthy too.

I like hutspot to minus the rookworst, it's good winter food. But I can not manage such heavy food every day, then I would go nuts. I always feel tired and stuffed after eating heavy "boer" food... I prefer soups :)
