When I went to Czech this year, most food there is sausages and meat....and mashed potato and cabbage ....I missed the fresh vegetables there .

^^^ There is probably a reason why there are Chinese restaurants, Italian restaurants, Japanese restaurants etc but no Duch or Czech restaurants?
Yeah, pretty much everything here is potatoes mashe with cabbage or some other vegetable. Or potatoes next to some vegetable that is boiled to crap and a piece of meat. And sausages, and of course meatballs. Oh, the meatballs! And red cabbage, sauerkraut, beets, kale, coliflower. I actually like food like that, and hutspot and boerenkool are some of my favorites. Cabbage is actually quite healthy too.

I like hutspot to minus the rookworst, it's good winter food. But I can not manage such heavy food every day, then I would go nuts. I always feel tired and stuffed after eating heavy "boer" food... I prefer soups
