I signed up for Match and found that a number of the complaints are arguably the result of how the site is set up.

Old profile pic? Match will automatically pull a profile pic from your Facebook account.

Match is constantly pressuring me to send emails--even though I clearly am not a match if I am to believe the woman's profile. If a woman specifies a guy that is at least ten inches taller than her, height is a big deal to her.

I just sent an email, why would I want to send one to someone else?

Why? To increase the likelihood that someone will email you back.

Yeah lol, it's like job hunting. Ideally you'd just apply to one or two places but in reality you're applying to every single place that meets your criteria.

I know I'd prefer that on dating sites I could only message like 3 people and everything would work out, but it doesn't. Because the chances of you definitely clicking with those three people are low. That's just how it is.

I really do get the urge to only send one though lol. Maintaining multiple conversations is exhausting and most people don't interest me anyways. Too boring.

When you are a short guy it isn't easy to find matches--so it seems like my time is better spent fixing up the place--much better to put in a new bathroom faucet now than when I'm in a relationship. The hard part isn't putting it in--its figuring out how to remove the old one.

Women like winners--I decided it would be fun to win some trophies for new profile pics. I suppose it would be an acceptable white lie to pick the best pic and pair it up with the best trophy--after all, it is me and I did win the trophy.

It's downright tragic that people end up subjecting themselves to painful and dangerous surgery because they can't escape imbecilic, crude and cruel comments and attitudes

If you read the article this wasn't about dating, it was about being bullied, insulted and discriminated against, including at work. Some of the targets were women.

I couldn't care less what preferences people have and what they think - they are entitled to them - as long as they keep their trap shut and act in a civil manner. I'm happy I have an intimidating appearance (or so I'm told), nobody ever "made fun" or harped about my physical traits, at least not to my face, and I understand better now why some of the short(er) men I know have very aggressive attitudes.

Men disadvantaged in some way tend to try and over-compensate for it.

Short men are sometimes over-aggressive.

Insecure skinny men who feel un-masculine bulk up and become ripped either through hard work or just steroids, and become the insecure, boastful, big-shot gymgoers we all know and love (to hate).

Men with big guns or big cars or other big things? Overcompensating for something little.

Case in point: Aziz Shaversian

What's wrong with wanting to be strong? I've talked to guys who use steroids and they're more knowledgeable about it than doctors are and most "specialists". Doctors don't know a damn thing about male hormones, unless you goto a doctor that runs a private practice.

But steroids can be really unhealthy. Is it not more admirable to be strong through hard work?

I think being healthy is a big part of being strong not just having big muscles

Yeah, doctors are stupid and uneducated, I do my own surgery because you just can't trust the morons, they only had 8 years of schooling, 4 years of residency, and absolutely no competition and drive to complete it all.

But enjoy your ever shrinking junk, uncontrollable aggression (and all the side-effects that comes with it), and your early heart attack and premature death. It's fun to see evolution in action.

edit: I'm also curious, with these friends of yours: did they do their research, experiments, and double blind studies before or after hitting the gym?
