I shower 5 times a week.
I brush my teeth twice a day.
I use floss (unsure about spelling) once a week.

I rarely get my hair cut.
I rarely shave.
I bite my nails.

All in all, I'm mr. Average Hygiene.

I hate having to go for a shower, once im in im fine, but i will happly, go for a few weeks without washing. i love waking up in the morning and being warm in bed . then throwing on the cloths that ive been wearing all week if not longer, they feel soo much nicer once theve been worn, i hate the feeling off new/washed cloths on my body, i hate changing my boxers every day which is why i dont, i change my socks more often than anything else change them when i can smell them.
Generally i wake to find my mum has been in my room and found the cloths ive hidden so they dont get washed, and wased them, she tries to help by laying out new cloths for me to wear ..

I think hygiene is important. For some reason, if I dont shower and Im scrubbing my skin, I feel nauseous. I think this is just an evolutionary reaction to uncleanliness because it could lead to disease. I shower once a day because I tend to have dry, itchy skin, but I would so do it more otherwise. For some reason, the smell of human body makes me feel ill. I just cant stand it. I also dont like the smell of perfume. I wouldnt even be bothered by other people's hygiene if it werent for the smell or the thought of the smell. Your body secretes fluids and waste everyday. When you use the restroom, you arent fully cleaning your behind or your front unless you use water or wipes. The sweat accumulating on your skin is also breeding grounds for bacteria and grime (which can lead to annoyingly hard to get rid of body acne). Sometimes its hard to smell yourself, but other people, while they are not intending to be rude, may feel a natural reaction to gag to the smell. I have a big aversion to that ever happening. Would be majorly embarassing. I dont mind the feeling of water, but sometimes when Im in the shower I feel like Im not clean and will scratch/scrub at my skin like crazy. :/ drives me nuts.

Merr, you make some very good points in this post. Anybody can be expected to get ripe smelling after hot summer day and I don't find that offensive. It probably won't smell great, but it won't be difficult to want to socialize with a person who has a days funk on them. On the other hand, people who are aggressively stinky on a day in/day out basis with layered sweat and the same salt stains under the armpits of their month old t shirt are plain disgusting. I worked in a shop with a guy like this, and nothing, not the nickname Stinky, or people trying to get the hell away from him could convince him to drop the stink fetish. Eventually he was fired , much to the relief of everyone else in the shop.

My ex boyfriend had Asperger's and he had the same issue. He'd go three or so days without showering and would really start to stink. It was so bad that sometimes I didn't want him hugging on me or touching me because he smelled like s**t.

He had other really bad issues.....sometimes I think his mom was too brutally honest about them. I learned from her that apparnetly he's not good at wiping his ass, so he gets skid marks all over his underwear. Talk about a way to turn a girl off. I mean...WTF?

He also never brushed his hair. Looks like he had bed head all the time. He didn't like to wear uncomfortable clothes, so he'd ALWAYS wear a t-shirt with baggy shorts or super baggy sweatpants. He even wore those to family functions with formal attire requirements.

I know this seems shallow, but this was an embarrassment to me and one of the greater reasons why I called it off. I think it's important to take pride in your hygeine and appearance. When in public, I was ashamed to be seen next to him. And I'd wonder if people thought I was very weird for dating a guy like him.

I have a small problem with textures. I'm sure many here are familiar with cramp-like reaction to certain textures.
If I don't keep clean and somewhat well-combed, my own texture starts to paralyze me. I feel all stiff and heavy.

There have been times when I wanted to take a shower just to be able to breathe properly.

I sometimes even don't take a bath for a month. It's not like I play in the mut to get a disease from dirt.
