The c word has more shock value than dick. Using the c word is more likely to escalate an argument too.
If I call him a c**t, is that misogynist or misandric?
Or misagynandric? Misandrigynist?
Using the word in the first place was an act of provocation. Yawn...tell me that I'm wrong.

Well, so it was the case of using the misogynist word. Instead of such slurs, there is a thing called report button in case something is deemed as unacceptable.

Yeah well, I'm choosing to respond instead. Thanx

Sure it just wasn't PMS. You do not want to talk to me a week before my period.
I don't know whether or not she has PMS. Is there a way I can tell?
My psychologist suggested her mood may have been altered by her birth control pills.
BCP are evil. When I take them I get extremely depressed, gain weight, lose my sex drive and it changes the way I act towards my partner. Normally I’m quite independent and we do our own things and everyone is happy. When on the pill I get super clingy, want my boyfriend to anticipate my every desire and get really upset when he doesn’t. It makes me feel abandoned, like he doesn’t love and appreciate me. These changes happen slowly so it’s hard to even recognize that it’s happening. Most doctors won’t even mention the possibility of these horrible side effects.
If you want to understand female cycles there’s a book called Taking Charge of Your Fertility. There are only 5 days during a cycle that it’s possible for a woman to get pregnant. If you really want to avoid pregnancy they advise avoiding sex during these times even when using birth control, which is never 100% effective. I know you don’t want a baby now but having her on the pill just might be making your relationship harder than it needs to be.
Sounds like a good idea but I have some questions.
1. How many days do sperm live for? Does this number of days need to be added to the 5 days?
2. Aren't the 5 days she's fertile for coincide with the 5 days in which she has the most sexual desire?
If the answer to the second question is Yes I might be fighting her off with a stick for 5 days per month. Before she went on the pill she had quite a high sex drive.
Meanwhile, the period in which she's not fertile would include 5 days of menstruation and 5 days of PMSing. Some girls have sexual desire during their period but not this one. So that's 15 days of the month we can't have sex.
I'm not sure if the calendar technique will be effective if we can only have sex when she doesn't want it and if we can't have sex when she really really wants to. Especially since she already desires kids and she desires kids even more (and desires sex even more) while she's ovulating.
Before she went on the pill her sex drive was so high while she was ovulating that there were times when I had to literally fight her off because I was worried she would conceive.
The calendar method is crap. You might have better luck than I had. My wife has always had irregular cycles off the pill. When she was on the pill, even getting sex was hit or miss. What’s the point of the pill when you don’t even want it anymore? Ridiculous.
Plus we couldn’t really afford b.c. So we just used condoms. Her cycle is a moving target. We ran out of condoms one day and 7 1/2 months later...
Then I had one break. So 8 1/2 months later...
It freaking sucks, because when you’re married you’d think you could have all the unprotected sex you want. Nope. Doesn’t work that way.
What we do is wait a full 24 hours after her period stops. There’s roughly a 7 day window when she’s not going to get pregnant. This much we know and we’ve never conceived when we were keeping up with the days. Beyond that is no-man’s-land. Even if we wanted to, we didn’t dare try to figure out when to have sex the week before.
It’s scary because her last cycle was just over two weeks. I don’t mean random mid-cycle spotting, I mean full-on red. So we’ve avoided unprotected sex in the meantime just in case, because it was really strange.
I’m not saying it can’t be done. I’m just saying even if she’s in perfect health and everything has always gone like clockwork, do you really feel you can gamble on that one time out of 100?
Sperm don’t really live longer than 24 hours. I would say worst case 3 days. I’ve ready somewhere that 7 days is possible, but I highly doubt it. I’d need to see the research on that, but 7 days just sounds fishy to me.

Perhaps you haven't noticed but that was part of a heated discussion where I got quite upset for being called a misogynist for criticizing the behaviour most women had in this thread. So yeah, you are wrong.

You may choose to respond instead of report, but I have to act appropriately when I spot a breach of rules. Ad hominems are definitely against the rules.
If this unfortunate debate over the use of a word continues, and there is no further discussion of the OP's problems, i'll close this thread.

I didn't even say that to them, I just wanted to say vagina and used slur because I was angry. They instead said nasty things to me, personal attacks, without a justification, but I see that somehow you have no problem with that and you don't care at all.

It’s not worth worrying about much. I used to think running to mods was babyish, and then others started reporting me for what I thought were trivial matters. I’m not sure when or how it happened, but reporting users and posts seems to me the norm.
I used to think it was unfairly weighted against people with more conservative views like my own. But I discovered that leftists, at least at that time, had a nasty habit of baiting people like me into expressing something that violated TOS. It always confused me as to HOW exactly I broke the rules. But once I figured it out I realized that people had been baiting and bullying me, at least according to TOS, even though it never occurred to me to be upset or offended by it. Once I started reporting leftist users for their treatment of me, most of the heavy-handed tactics stopped, at least one user got banned while others quietly vanished into the void, and my experience here was much better.
I feel like the mods here lean liberal in the views they express, but they shoot straight down the middle in their moderating. Here are some guidelines I’d suggest for going to mods:
1. Don’t hesitate to report.
2. Know the rules and make sure you stay in the clear; avoid responding to a post if it means you’d be forced to express something that breaks rules
3. Avoid making bs reports/tattling, i.e. don’t insult someone and then report them for retaliating. I’ve actually seen some people “report themselves” when they were at fault and clear up something that was potentially hurtful to someone else.
The mods really are here to help and make every effort to be fair. Based on my experience, I’d say you should be worried if you DON’T get reported at least once for something, no matter how insignificant.

Boo has three official warnings and was even banned for a while. You don't have any, even if you've accused sly of vicious misogyny, ferris (who was supporting someone else who you've also accused of misogyny) and now peacesells has managed to get on your list since they disagree with you.
Yeah, that's how this site is run.

Yeah, that's how this site is run.
If I "accused sly of vicious misogyny" (quite the misinterpretation of my posts in that thread) why haven't I been warned as well? Perhaps your fellow moderators don't share your interpretation.
And ferris apologized to me in a PM for his sexist "joke" (he admitted that he said what he did to intentionally get under my skin, and he admitted that it was a sexist and patronizing comment and it was wrong to do that.) I didn't accept his apology at the time very gracefully because I was still upset, but I appreciate that he admitted what he did and apologized for it. I should also mention that since then he has been very civil to me.
I don't have any list, so I'm not sure what that comment is about other than your own obvious dislike of me.
