Lol that might not be rare here on an aspie forum, but I just now joined and it's very surprising for me to see that. :)

Besides, I have never met a woman on this planet who engages me both physically and intellectually to my liking. Usually it is one or the other: she is either extremely beautiful and lacking in shared interests (conversation of psychology, sociology, philosphy, history, literature, movies, etc.) or she is average looking and doesn't really have the said characteristics above. Oh woe is me! :P

I know EXACTLY what you mean. The only two guys I've really been attracted two were both the Valedictory for my school (one 2006, one 2007). The first one wasn't interested in me romantically, and the second one was my first boyfriend. Problem is that although he matched me intellectually, he was a bit too introverted, and I can be very extroverted at times (as well as introverted, I tend to switch between them) and need someone who also enjoys social settings and dramatics (none of that bitchy stuff, I mean play acting around, being silly, etc) like I do.

I have not met a single guy since we broke up that I would consider dating, because none of them are smart enough. And then even if i DO meet someone smart enough to attract me, chances are they will be only introverted and won't ever want to get out there and be crazy with me :(.

Isnt that approxomately the ration that exist between the two genders when it comes to those that have Asperger? I think there are four times as many men with Asperger than women.

Well, I guess that at least means that we must also consider nevrotypical women. After all almost all women are nevrotypical.

In theory we should have great chances since guys slightly outnumber girls in the world.

I don't know what 'she' is actually looking for, but keep in mind that based on your jurisdiction, at least in the usa, doing anything with someone who is 17 puts you into 'sex offender' land. And police do use entrapment. And aspies do tend to be trusting...

Just a thought. And if you're all so ga-ga, how come you don't join "aspie affection" and find someone legal, local, and interested?

Surely there are more guys out there that live near me? I regularly do a search on things like okcupid for 'aspie' and tend to not find anyone near me. In fricking Silicon Valley!

(Apologies if I'm repeating something from the second half of this mostly unreadable thread... I skipped.)

I would have thought that if there were Aspies on OKCupid, they wouldn't be mentioning it on their profiles.

I don't :)

Exactly. :D

And doesn't just have to be at parties. I generally find parties can be fairly dull. I'm not necessarily a "party person." (unless the parties are with people I really like and have heaps of fun with doing awesome stuff like chucking lollies into each others mouths from across the room and dancing on tables (lol ) , those parties are awesome!)

Someone who could stand up and sing several verses of Les Miserables with me in the middle of university without any qualms and enjoy every minute of it would be a good example (not saying that they'd have to do exactly that, but you understand what I mean).

It's mainly because this sort of stuff is such a huge part of who I am, and I feel so depressed at the thought of never finding anybody to share it with.

Our main problem seems to be that we're all too far apart geographically! lol.
aspie affection doesn't sem very good personally.
okcupid has the odd guy, but they're very hard to find!

Stinks for you. I am going to Haverford college, where girls outnumber guys, PLUS there is an all-girls college, Bryn Mawr, right next door.
