Don't take it too personally that no one responded. A shy lass is probably not going to be confident enough to jump up and shout 'here I am!' to a stranger on the internet.

I know someone who is exactly the person you have described. She's not able to work because of her health. The anxiety of being different is hard on her. She's really sweet as well. Very quirky.

It's going to be hard to meet these girls. They stay at home and paint and make clothes and shop online. Occasionally if they feel up to it they may meet female friends for coffee at a little coffee shop or at a friend's house.

You might meet them browsing the racks in a second hand shop or a cheap bookstore. But they are so shy that a strange man talking to them will freak them out and make them feel anxious. It will jolt them when they are focussed on their interest of looking for quirky clothes or a good book.

It's a catch 22 situation.

The last 2 weeks I saw you were really good. I'm trying to think along the lines of be glad that it happened not sad that's it's over, but I miss you. Miss your warm smile and bright eyes.

I had a face to face conversation with him for the first time in ages. Obviously this isn't going anywhere. We'll never be more than acquaintances, but there's no bad feelings between us. We were genuinely friendly and parted with a smile.

I'm glad we can still talk to each other. I'm glad it's not awkward. Nothing is ruined. I feel less angst about this now.
