I may be single but I think this thread is a waste of time, I've not heard ANY sucess stories from it which has dissuaded me from trying this thread

maybe in the future if I ever feel a need to look (I don't right now) for a partner I'll give it a try.... maybe

Yes, I would love to make some new friends along the spectrum.
I have certain Aspie traits but I can appear very NT and extroverted. (hyperactive or something). So whilst I have many NT friends I don't feel I can talk to them about everythig - pretty good with talking about personal stuff but they tend to get quite stressed if you talk about anything deeper than shopping or fashion.

So is it ok if I PM you? Actually this message should be a PM in the first place! :)

P.S. Your my space doesn't work as it is set to private profile (rightly so - well it is the internet! :) )

I said it before, but this topic to me becomes less interesting as long as all profiles are just in one bunch. There should at least be a division for all male and female profiles, and if possible one for geographic areas as well (eg all profiles from US and Canada in one topic, one topic for European singles, one for Aussies, ...)

The idea of having a singles list is great, but I am looking for a female based in Europe or the Middle East, having to go through hundreds of pages where more than half of the posts are from males or from US based members ... it becomes too time consuming and that is a pity because maybe the right girl is somewhere in page nr 112 or the topic or so.

Better idea would be one subforum with a topic per poster, or if that takes too much space, at least create a few topics where singles can present themselves:
- one topic for North American males
- one topic for North American females
- one topic for European males
- one topic for European females
- etc...

This would at least make it less time consuming to search, and then more people would pay attention to this topic. I am sure a lot of interesting profiles are now being unnoticed because they are somewhere in the middle of a topic that has too many pages to view it entirely.

I posted this idea already 2 times before but without any response from the admins or mods. Is there no way to flag this post so that an admin or moderator can actually respond and discuss the proposal with other site admins? I do think the singles list would be much more effective if the profiles would at least be divided per gender and continent, it would make it less exhausting to browse for profiles.

To divide people by continents is just stupid.
This here is to exchange and get to know each other and people do not have to be on the same continent for that, and if at all they want to meet each other in person, they can go to some airport, there are cheap flights to everywhere. It often takes more time to drive or trainride to the other end of your own country than to fly to some other country. And it sure is more expensive to go by bus to the next big city than to fly to some other country.
If you make subgroups, than with some reasonable standards like age or education or so, but the continent is just not important - its just a bit of ocean in between, so what? :?

I think it's because people only want to meet people near them. I would have to travel because I know I'm not going to meet people where I am. I got shot down by someone I met on here, because I was too far away--she only lived about 100 miles from me, and it was only a two-hour drive. Most people spend two hours a day commuting to and from work, so I don't understand why she would be freaked out.

She doesn't even want to live in that town anyway.
