Why do guys hate fat chicks?
Oh my gosh I don't know if I can be lifted I think it's okay though. My boyfriend is the same weight as I am within maybe 5 pounds difference.
Walking every day for an hour before dinner is low-impact (less stress on joints than running) and healthy. So I've heard. I'm too lazy.

Swimming is even less impact
If a guy can't lift a girl in some form or another he could probably use some exercise himself. I used to give my 180lb girlfriend short piggy back rides just for laughs.

I don't know if I want him to try though
Yes, swimming is probably helpful as well.

To you shallow guys- Get lost. You're the reason most girls are depressed or commit suicide. I hope you feel good about yourselves.
Erisad, if you're gaining weight at the rate you say, while eating a healthy diet and exercising, plus did this for five weeks and didn't lose even a pound, that is actually quite alarming. Either there is something seriously wrong that is causing you to gain weight like this and you should see your doctor, or you're not doing the exercise/diet thing right.
Ok, you said you did a brisk 20 minute walk a day. This is actually very little, and won't do much (especially if this is still your only exercise). I would recommend walking for at least 30 minutes (if walking is all you're doing, if you're jogging 20 is probably ok), and try doing it twice a day - morning and night. You've said your eating patterns are healthy. I'm thinking perhaps the problem here could be caused by portion size.
No matter what you eat, if your portion size is too large the weight will be maintained or even increased. I reckon the best way to go about testing portion size is to reduce it a little bit at a time each day and see if you get by without feeling too hungry. You may be surprised at how much you can reduce your portion size before you feel like you're not eating enough to be full.
Although myself I am a healthy weight, and occasionally underweight, I constantly struggle to maintain my weight as I have a tendency to binge eat and also have always been greedy when it comes to food plus I have a serious sugar addiction. I try to run a few times a week and normally run for around 40-50 minutes when I do. I nearly always walk at least 20 minutes a day anyway due to walking around uni/walking to places (I use public transport), and whenever I'm walking anywhere I always walk briskly as it saves time and exercises my body at the same time.

Okay, I talked to my mom about it (after I stopped crying, she always yells at me when I cry) and we're going to schedule an appointment with my doctor to see if I have some form of thyroid problem. I want to give up the anti-depressants (hell I'll be 21 soon, I can drink if I get depressed like everyone else) and we'll see where it goes. I'll start using the exercise bike in addition to my walk while my mom's at work. It'll be a better use of my time, daytime TV sucks anyway.
This'll probably sound pretty bad, but I'm a huge huge huge fan of going down on women. When they're too big, they don't look "appetizing" unless they have exactly the right personality and some other very rare physical features that can make up for it. While I might absolutely love who they are as a person, I don't want to feel unsatisfied for the duration of whatever relationship we might have. That's seriously all it is for me. I've dated larger women, but I do my best to stay away unless there's an undeniably amazing spark between us.
weight loss is hard for men too.
I have done just about 14 years of martial arts, and I do parkour to keep in shape.
im about 6 ft 2 in and am just shy of 190lbs
Generally, I would have to say no. But I am also not "ripped" like I used to be. Im just average build.
Why do I say "no". mostly because in one sense I am shallow. most women I meet think they are fat, sure they arent skinny, but average sized women look real, and I like it. Skinny women are nice, only when they enjoy it.
large women to me are the same as large men to me. Just keep working, diet a bit, and be determined. Its only a sign of good health to be less than obiese.
larger people generally arent as healthy and thus, are sort of a turn off.
shallow, I know. But sometimes I cant help myself. [im also not into plastic freak women either]
Considering that I got hit on more when I was noticeably overweight than when I was right in the middle of the healthy weight range for my height, I don't think they do.
Also, my father, brothers and male friends all have said that they'd be more attracted to someone who's somewhat overweight than someone who's somewhat underweight.
To answer the poll question, yes, I would. I dated a guy who was morbidly obese for about a year and a half, and his weight was never a problem for me, aside from worrying about his health and constantly having to deal with his insecurity about it combined with unwillingness to actually do something about it.

What can help with the exercising is to incorporate it into your daily life so that it doesn't seem like a chore or a waste of time. A.k.a. if you need to go to the shops for something, walk there instead of driving (and maybe listen to an ipod while doing so). Thus you'll be getting exercise without having to think too much about it, and achieving other stuff at the same time. Walking (or riding if you have a bike) places instead of driving/catching a bus can be quite enjoyable. This helps me a lot. Maybe even try walking to uni. You could try exercising on the exercise bike while watching daytime TV (no need to give it up when you can do both at the same time)? Don't be too hard on yourself if results aren't instant, over time the weight should slowly drop off. Like you said, the goal isn't to become a supermodel, just to feel good and become healthy. The more weight you lose, the better you feel and the more energy and brain power you'll find you have. It's quite remarkable.
So yeah, there's no need to go all Biggest Loser and do 4 hours of hardcore gym a day, you can incorporate it all into your daily life without it having to become a massive chore. And if you do the whole portion sizes thing I've found that helps the most (more than anything else). I know I don't feel like I'm giving up anything when I reduce my portion sizes, because I'm still eating the same stuff (but yes, do stick to that healthy eating pattern you say you're on. Make sure you have salad with every meal. Maybe half salad, a quarter protein, a quarter carbs?).
Hope this helps. Seeing a doctor is definitely a good start also, as you want to make sure there isn't anything seriously wrong (I don't know you in person, so I don't know any more about your diet and exercise except what you've already said, plus I have no idea how big your portion sizes are).

If he isn't too helpful, ask for a referral to an endocrinologist. They will know much much more about issues like thyroid, diabetes, hormones, etc than a general practitioner. And be aware that drinking can be a big cause of weight gain if you take it up. Most alcoholic drinks have tons of calories. Someone said something about swimming....this is a great way to exercise. You remain cool, and it doesn't feel like you're doing much. Just walk around in the water if you can't swim laps. The exercise bikes aren't great for exercise, but it won't hurt anything especially if you're doing it in addition to walking. I think swimming would be more beneficial than the exercise bike though :]

Without reading all this I will say I'm a little overweight myself & I do not care much about the weight of a girl as long as she's healthy instead of vomiting every time she eat.. I do NOT understand why so many women believe they are fat when their damn ribs are poking out. As long as I can put my arms around her & she won't crush me. I do NOT care if she's fat or not

Hi Erisad, Not that my opinion matters or anything but I personally think you are very pretty judging from your Avatar.
I realize this is probably only my 3rd post here in the entire time I've been registered, But this thread caught my attention.
I too can never understand why so many men think that fat women or even just slightly bigger women are not attractive, Many of the girls I've been attracted to over the years have been what others considered to be fat or overweight, But I never cared because that wasn't the only thing I was paying attention to, Personality is first and foremost to me.
Infact, The one girl that I was ever able picture myself being in a relationship with was somewhat fat, and when I finally told someone about it who I thought was my best friend, they made fun of me and made up really mean jokes about her, needless to say I don't talk to this person anymore, but it is for many other reasons than that.
as much as I appreciate some banging hot supermodel thin type of chick when I see one, I realistically could never imagine myself being with one.
I usually don't post on forums very often because I'm quite shy and I'm not very good at wording sentences the way I am thinking them, almost every time I consider posting something I usually end up just stopping half way through because I'm never satisfied with the way I worded it.
I like girls with a little chub to them as well.
I've found that the slightly heavier escorts tend to have a great attitude, put in a better performance, and don't watch the clock as much either.
That is sexual marketplace competition in action.
Here is a good example. I know this one girl who is a bit overweight (yes I occasionally go for girls unpaid) but her weight is not the dealbreaker. It is her sh***y attitude. She is in a perpetual bad mood. Total malinvestment. If her attitude did not suck so much, then I would start dating her. But she is a not a better deal than what I enjoy now.
Simple truth is that girls who are struggling with weight problems have to offer something that the prettier girls do not.
Being friendlier, more appreciative, and less mercenary than the average American woman goes a long way.
I have routinely seen guys that I would rank in appearance as 7-8 (out of 10) dating girls I would rate in appearance (4-6). The reason for this is because dating a 4-6 girl is a lot easier than dating a 9-10 girl. You get far less "s**t tests" because she has fewer options.

Well considering I'm rather skinny as is, obviously I'd have to date a girl who's probably "fatter" than me.
But I get your concern op. I can find chubby girls to be cute at times, but it really just boils down to whether i can find them physically attractive or not. I can't really force it. And that's not to say that I find skinnier girls attractive all the time either.

I think OP meant that if the girl weighed more than the individual whom she doted on, it would be assumed she was obese or 50+ pounds overweight.
