Coming from a country where prostitution is legal, I can only say that the problems connected to prostitution have not changed. Women from eastern Europe, Russia, and Asian Minor are still lured to Germany with the promise of earning big money for their families, only to have their passports taken away from them, getting threatened, locked up, beaten up and treated like animals, without being able to call for help, because they speak neither German, nor English. I don't have anything against the profession in general, or do I despise men (or women!) who seek to satisfy their intimate needs by paying for it, but I doubt many of these people think about how many of these prostitutes have to live. Putting any pseudo-religious moral matters aside, I think prostitution promotes adopting a lower morale in general.
