Yes, I believe I see how things work on this site now.

Boo has three official warnings and was even banned for a while. You don't have any, even if you've accused sly of vicious misogyny, ferris (who was supporting someone else who you've also accused of misogyny) and now peacesells has managed to get on your list since they disagree with you.

Yeah, that's how this site is run.

If I "accused sly of vicious misogyny" (quite the misinterpretation of my posts in that thread) why haven't I been warned as well? Perhaps your fellow moderators don't share your interpretation.

And ferris apologized to me in a PM for his sexist "joke" (he admitted that he said what he did to intentionally get under my skin, and he admitted that it was a sexist and patronizing comment and it was wrong to do that.) I didn't accept his apology at the time very gracefully because I was still upset, but I appreciate that he admitted what he did and apologized for it. I should also mention that since then he has been very civil to me.

I don't have any list, so I'm not sure what that comment is about other than your own obvious dislike of me.

Yeah, I wonder as well why haven't you been warned, since IMO you've deserved a warning.

and, no ferris didn't admit to anything sexist, he apologized for upsetting you what you ruthlessly rejected. That was after he officially reported himself.

if you have any objections about my modding or anything said, feel free to complain to alex or whoever, i don't care.

I'm not going to saying anything else about this matter.

He admitted afterwards in another thread that he'd realized he had been perpetrating some benevolent sexism without realizing at the time that's what it was, and that he planned to do some soul searching about it. I saw that comment of his and thought it was really big of him to admit that. There are a lot of people out there who aren't willing to examine their internal biases like that, and to talk about doing so takes courage. If he reported himself, that should tell you that he understood that what he did was wrong.

If you can't keep your obvious personal bias against me out of your comments to me, it's probably best you don't comment at me anymore.

Actually, I haven't bothered to respond to either Boo's or Kraftie's "war" stuff because I find it childish and I don't think I am waging a gender war here, the only thing I care for is common sense. That "war" stuff has nothing to do with me or my thinking.
Similarly, I have not reported anyone here or called a mod because I am quite sure that I am capable of handling anyone and I have don't feel the need for help. Also, I don't trust much the majority of them, but that's secondary.

Indeed. If anyone here thinks that I am being so misogynistic I strongly encourage them to report me, otherwise it's just empty words and a big waste of my time.

Women call their vagina the c word all the time, it’s just another word for vagina now same as the p word. It’s not polite words but it’s not negative unless used in negative way. Like man she’s just a c word or what c words, but saying she has a c word isn’t negative.

Black people use the n-word all the time, that doesn't change the fact that lots of white people still use it negatively as a slur, just as men often still use the c-word against women like was done here in this thread. There was no need for it.

Just because some women use the word doesn't make it OK for men to throw it back at us when they are mad, like Peacesells did.

He didn’t use it against women, he didn’t say women are c***, he simply called vagina c*** like most people do today. It’s often used in dirty talk, so you can say it was inappropriate sure but it wasn’t hatred to women or misogyny

White people can’t can a black person the “N” word—but black people can. That’s just reality. Accept it.

C***=vagina p***y= vagina. I’d be like me getting mad if someone said just because men have c**ks. That’s another word for penis used alt by hunger generation same as c*** and p***y is for vagina. So it depends on the context in this example he used it properly. Inappropriate In formal conversation sure, but I can tell you most my generation and younger don’t use vagina or penis. They use c**t/p***y and c**k
They aren’t polit they aren’t appropriate they aren’t political correct, but they aren’t sexist. I doubt any objecting to C**t would objected to someone saying same thin and ending with just because he has a c**k

Yes I told her I've got aspergers. Trouble is she didn't know what aspergers was. She looked it up on Wikipedia but I'm not sure if their description is detailed enough. I need to find some resource that will tell her aspies like direct and literal communication.

There's a book "Aspergers in love" by Maxine Aston. Here's the blurb:

Comparing both AS and non-AS partners' viewpoints, this book frankly examines the aspects of relationships that are often complicated by the disorder. With all findings illustrated with case examples taken from interviews conducted with couples, the author tackles issues such as attraction, trust, communication, sex and intimacy, and parenting.
Maxine Aston is a Relate trainer and couple counsellor specializing in relationships affected by Asperger syndrome. She has a degree in psychology, is the author of The Other Half of Asperger Syndrome (NAS) and is a frequent speaker at ASD conferences.

It's very Aspie positive, with lots of advice for the NT partner. It's a good read but it doesn't really clue the Aspie into what's expected from them.

Additional edit: Maybe wise to check it out yourself first, the book covers some extreme relationship problems.

Most people don't use "c**t", "p****," "cock," "dick" in most conversations----unless they're around their close friends.

I work at a college library, and I'm around college kids all the time. I just don't hear those words--unless they're having a conversation which would be seen as being stupid by most college students. High school stuff, in other words.

What I said was a fact. A white person can't call a black person the "N" word----but a black person could. Unfair? Perhaps. But true.

Why would anyone want to use the "N" word, anyway?

Oh yeah, boo&boo conspiracy, the plan was to take over the thread, rule boo as the king almighty and demand his complete sovereignty.

Most people don’t talk about vaginas and penises in most conversations. I’m around young people and people of my generation and when they talk about that stuff they use the curse words, even middle schoolers in the bus or bus stop.
Yeah I’d not expect much sex talk in a college library where such talk could get them suspended. But if you hung out with them outside college at their homes or parties you’d hear it a lot.

They wouldn’t get suspended for such talk. It’s a loosely-goosed atmosphere there. I know. I am THERE.

Occasionally, I hear this stuff. All they get is gently admonished.

Btw, my 3rd warning and ban was totally due to an unintentional porn hyperlink, I remember it was an adult topic where they were talking about porn types and such, I mentioned a website and typed it like example.com ..... and it got hyperlinked by Greasemonkey in the post to the right address ! ! My mistake was adding the domain (.com) to its name, so it seems a some script in Greasemonkey identified it and added the http://www. to it.

While my intention was to just mention its name, not to post a link to it. I was surprised when Alex showed me the post since I don't recall I included a link in it.

Of course, Alex considered posting a porn link is a banning violation, and there was no way to prove that it was unintentional.

So if some guy said c**t some feminist won’t accuse him of being sexist and misogynistic and demand he be suspended? Most colleges are liberal and zero tolerance.

I haven't encountered many online feminists at my college (in NYC).

If a woman is called a "c**t" by a guy.....then (if the woman wants to pursue it further; most women don't want to pursue it further) the guy might go before an arbitrator. Or before the dean. Most likely, he'll be given some sort of warning and, perhaps, sent to counseling.

They would only suspend somebody if that somebody committed violence against someone else.

Nobody is suspended merely for saying "c**t."

"Zero Tolerance," and liberalism don't necessarily go together.
