Ok, I'll give this a try. There doesn't seem to be any sort of consistent format or length so I'm just going to wing it.

I'm 23 year old male from NE Pennsylvania.
I'm 6'5", fair complexion, heavy set, with long hair.

I've dabble throughout the range between fine arts and mass media.
Sculpture to prop fabrication, animation to editing, drawing to graphics design... I'm fairly flexible in my visual language but they all seem to inform each other. My work has been described as 'looking at abstracts and searching for their edges'. Of all the press I've received that line really says it all.

I read a lot with a particular fondness for stories set in post-apocalyptic societies. I find them to be studies in modern man existing outside of our social constructs and they speak to the effects of generations of self domestication.

I love comics though fancy the independents (particularly anthologies) more then the convoluted multi-verses of the big brands. Going back I love the golden age. Things like Alan Scott's Green Lantern dressing in a weird costume for the hell of it so that his appearance would distract the bad guys is great and it's novelty surpasses the modern era where suits are more uniforms then costumes.

I watch a fair amount of science fiction with a particular draw to the moralistic end of the genre. They are our modern fairy tales only out of the wilds of the woods and into the wilds of space and time. Rod Serling, the voice in the control room, and the doctor are the voices of reason and in reality I think these types of programs are more in the spirit of things like religion then peddling dogma. Wasn't the point to tell stories which explain things which aren't yet fully understood and present good and bad role models through tales which illustrate the positive and negative consequences of their actions? Then doesn't it make more sense to have those stories evolve as the questions change to interject morality into more apt fiction instead of holding to the tales which were meant for an audience from some other time and place as if they are some absolute truth? This would be as close as I hold to any religion.

I watch probably too many horror movies... too many because I'm dissatisfied with the direction the genre is going. I'm not a fan of the modern 'splatter porn/ torture porn' as much as I like the genres use as a vehicle of social commentary and the rare well written tale of the macabre. I can appreciate camp etc when it feels genuine... but a lot of the contemporaries of film makers like Ed Wood take all the short cuts with none of the passion or invention. There is something incredibly romantic about the need to make something no matter what... which is worlds apart from someone trying to make something cheap for the sake of it being faster to turn a profit.

I am someone who is driven to take things apart... see how they work... and then put them back together. I still think of things like time in terms of the amount of how much energy it takes to move the gears which in turn more the hands of the clock.

I often find myself focusing on the things which most other people don't know with the intention that will always allow me to bring something to the table and make myself invaluable to the situtation. For example, I don't have a car or a license but I have a firm grasp on mechanics so where as I can't drive, I become invaluable if it breaks down on the road. If someone knows the way to get from one place to another with exit numbers etc. that's great but I'll memorize the side streets so if there is an accident I can navigate everyone around it. If someone is sick, I would be fairly lost in a drug store without knowing exactly what they need... but should modern medicine fail them then I know a number of alchemical and holistic alternatives. So basically I've self-specialized for when something doesn't work and another option is needed or the correct tool isn't available and something need to be make-shifted.

I largely live as a bohemian.... crashing with people, making work, bartering whenever possible, fixing things instead of buying new (luckily from taking so many things apart I'm fairly skilled at that), being driven by ideas over money and security, etc.

I tend to be a night person because it's dark and quite and almost has a freedom that day time doesn't because with most people sleeping there are no expectations put on what you are suppose to accomplish. Everything is closed and so it becomes more about invention over convention because all of the people who hold to conventional reason sleep during those hours.

-------------------------------------

What I would be looking for is someone who would like to make each other second to our own 'great works'. For me, my commitment to art and media comes first and so it wouldn't be fair to have someone who would put me first in their life when I can't commit to do the same. So if you're preoccupied with other things and ideas... but would like to make each other second only to those ideas then it could be great.

Over 18 year old... under the age that structure and stability become chiefly important to you. (that's different for everyone)
Common interest would be great... good conversations about them would be even better.
I'm a sucker for fair skin and bright eyes... but those are more aesthetics then anything else and by no means a mandate.
I'd prefer someone who doesn't use perfumes or body sprays as I've yet to find any smells which I really find appealing.
I've never dated anyone taller then me... but considering how big I am I don't see that as being an issue which is likely to come up.
I don't care for organized religion though I have no problem with people who are personally religious/ spiritual.

As I don't drive, the longer the commute and the less forms of transportation between our locations the less frequently I would be able to see you.
In that line of reasoning I don't mind online etc... but I see it as an alternate continuity to the real world interaction. Meaning I don't presume that because things move forwards in messaging that they have also moved forward in real life because it's along the lines of a comic being adapted to film... it's an adaptation of a relationship but the universe and timeline are altered to adapt to the different media. The media may cross pollinate but it does so at the discretion of the universe creators .

They should probably be comfortable with the idea that they might be reflected somehow in my work as art expresses ideas and hopefully they would become part of my thought process. (It would be even better if they are comfortable with direct representation and/ or modeling.) Basically a conversation, debate or argument will definitely eventually find it's way into work as it's information resting on my mind... but I try to avoid using likenesses without expressed permission.

They should be able to accept an honest opinion if they ask for it. If she is also an artist and asks for feedback or suggestions then thats one thing... but if she asks for a critic then I will be critical... in fact, I will be as critical as I am with my own work.

Everything else are variables to be filled in on a case by case basis.

I like the fact how it's ALMOST only guys who have posted in here (and once-in-a-life-time, a few girls do post and advertise in here to, lol). Then again, females with aspergers is alot more rare then with us guys <.<

That just defines it's use. I mean an artist catalog is all artists and no galleries because it's intended for galleries to look at for potential artists. I think the fact that it's mostly guys posting profiles leave it opened for girls to make their selections... more of a catalog of us then a resource for us.

The reasoning why they catalog artists instead of galleries is because there are just so many more artists then galleries that if they were to catalog gallery spaces they would be bombarded with show proposals. There are fewer galleries... so they have to make their selection first.... but the artists stilll have the final call if they want to show there once the offer is made.

Sadly like the art world... with so much work and so spaces it's likely most of us will not get the show we are hoping for... but also like the art world when you stop putting your work out there... then you aren't even giving it a chance to be one of the rare few who do get shown.

Ok so here is a bit about me.

My names Carlos Im 23, brown hair, brown eyes, medium build, have aspergers and currently residing in sunny Cornwall in the UK. Originally im from the West Midlands, (Birmingham to be precise) and am heading back there at the start of July in order to work for a friend for a couple of months. after this im heading to Salford University which is just outside Manchester to start a 3 year BA Honours Degree in Television and Radio Production.

My main passions in life are Rock/Metal music and Football (or soccer as the americans and australians like to call it ) and have been an avid Manchester United supporter since 1990. Eventually my main goal in life is to become a presenter, broadcaster or sports commentater (maybe even a journalist) and eventually end up with a career that I will enjoy doing. I have other amibitions as well to try teach myself Bass-Guitar and to learn both Spanish & German, the latter of which I will soon be studying as an evening class to go alongside my degree. I don't drive but one day would like to have a Harley Davidson.

As a person im very outgoing and like to be sociable, going to gigs and going to Rock, Metal & Gothic bars. I enjoy long intelligent conversations about anything from Sport to History, Politics & Religion. I consider myself either spiritual or pagan (though I don't practise) Some people say im stuck in time as most of my favourites bands are from the 80's & 90's. I like quite a bit of sci-fi (nearly anything vampire/demon related) and also gritty tv shows such as Sons of Anarchy and The Shield.

I've no time for liars and hypocrites, some people say im too honest and upfront for my own good.

I'd like to meet a nice lady preferably age 20-25 though I would date someone younger if they were very grown up for their age. Although im not chasing it at present, as i've been messed around and been mistreated too many times. I'd like to form a friendship with someone first before dating them.

That's all I can think of at present. I don't expect a reply from any females off here, though if you wish to say hello just send me a PM.

Wow, good look on finding that. *grin*

I'm 24 and I bet I look younger and act younger than any guy you've met. Age is a state of mind!

You're more likely to find a guy who is older anyway, young guys who have no experience won't want an aspie girl they are too much work.

If you think age is a state of mind then why are you generalizing younger guys?

Lol surely anyone with half a brain could figure that out, but nice idea. I know what you mean, it's so hard to find smart people these days and I just get bored by people who aren't at least as smart, or smarter than me (witty and intellectual conversation is a must in a relationship). I'm way too old for you though, and I'm not looking for online relationships anyway hahaha. But yes, I understand your dilemma.

If anyone wants to figure out an equally easy code, here's my first name:

Catch ants in tree leaves in napalm.

Yeah, I would like to say that my name is Dana. I'm a 37-year-old male. I stand 6'1". I was born and raised on Minneapolis' South Side, though I currently live in the suburbs of Saint Paul, Minnesota, on the border between east central Minnesota and western Wisconsin. My main interests include reading, listening to music and surfing the Net. I have red hair and gray eyes, a slim build. My zodiac sign is Libra (Technically, I'm on the Virgo/Libra cusp). I like ladies who are intelligent and/or athletic. I'd like to meet ladies who have similar interests in life. I'm a Lutheran (ELCA-affiliated), although I do like reading about other faiths.
