I think your looking too much into the situation and over analysing things.

Yeah, that is the real honest-to-God truth right there, lol, I was reading way too much into the situation.
I'm new at this improving-my-social-skills thing, in the past I was able to get more attention (occasionally friends) by just putting more more more energy into my socializing... The problem being that no one really took me seriously and I eventually burned myself out and became very asocial. So now I'm trying to do things more analytically which includes some toe-stubbings and stumblings yes

Hmm, that would explain the end of my short-lived relationship from freshman year... (I made some dirty joke at a party which I thought was pretty harmless but she was less than amused... she broke up with me a few days later  )

You titled this thread, Why would this girl be interested in me? I don't see why she wouldn't. Abominable, I think maybe you sell yourself short. I think, from your posts, you're witty, intelligent, and pretty cool. Have a little confidence and relax. If she really likes you, she's not going to be too easily discouraged or turned off. (Just trust me, you can't go wrong being friends first. Relationship begin at the friendship stage, then progress from there.)

From what I've seen so far, you haven't given her a reason not to be interested. She seems to enjoy your company, and feels comfortable with you. That comfort level is just as important as attraction, and it seems to be already there.

Also, the tone of the quote (and this thread's title) makes you sound surprised that a girl is interested in you. A long time of rejection gave you an opportunity to fine-tune your skills, and now you're getting results. Good job. I'm sure you heard this before: "sooner or later, you'll find someone". Well, this girl could be that someone. So hope for the best while being ready for the worst, and everything will work out in the end.

It'll be cool..

If it's not meant to be, it won't happen. But if it is meant to be, then nothing will be able to stop it.

She might not have even noticed that silence you mentioned.

8) good luck

You're a good looking guy, that's why she's interested!

If you want something long-term then you do need to be friends first, I know you then run the risk of not being able to break out of that mould but do you really want something long term with someone you can't get on with? If she does find you attractive then a few gentle hints that it's mutual should be enough to keep you in between the friend and boyfriend status.

Hi,
Can I just add to this from the girls perpespective, because I have just experienced this a couple of weeks ago.. I have been friendly with an aspie man for about a year, and friends have said that he feels something more, but I too feel "why the /// would he be interested in me!", so wasnt sure.. In the end I was desperate to know and asked him outright, butmade it as easy for him to say no as I could. It was the most scary thing I have ever done, as usually its a bit easier to work these things out as an NT!! Anyway end result is we were both honest, and so far so good, enjoying our time together very much..
Obviously I dont knowyour situation, but it can be very difficault for the NT to work out whats going on to!! ! Good luck..

Why she would be interested in you? Why wouldn't she?
Other than that I would just like to say congratulations. Whether she's interested in you or not. :)

Go for it AbominableSnoCone, and good luck!

And like others in this thread have implied, you just need to be yourself. After all I'm sure the girl likes you for just being yourself, and nothing else.

Ok I am scared I have one women on aspie affection looking at my profile. Two times in one day. Ah ah ah I am so scared that is who I attract. I is scary she fat and has black hair like my mom. Yikes my mom maid a pass a me. I was hoping working out would get me the right kind of attention cause everything else is fine. I not saying I was fat It is hard for me to gain any weight. If I put anything extra in my body It will burn it off no matter how much it is. It does not care if is night. The smallest dose of stimulant herbs and I will sweat to death and be real skinny. wtf as the abdominable snowcone said. I expect bigger pay. Fat women I saw in walmart was gazing at me. What the hell is wrong with you women you should try to make yourself presentable like me. It just takes alittle postive visualization exercise and stop fuckn snacking. Damn fat is always attracted to me. My dad's girlfriend is fat. My sister is fat my mom is fat. My dad is fat. Me and my brother are the only ones. My uncle danny is fat That is were it stops. What the hell women get your ass moving. I don't care if you have aspergers or autism no excuse you can get around. I was fat when I was born but I can;t gain anymore. This is what piss me off these women are ignorant they think that dating is easy or they just want ass. No respect for opposite sex or themselves. I do have to like there perosnalities that is important too. Its not hard act right.
