Mmmm. A bit like a fairytale, innit? Too much so, for me.

I have crushes very often but I've only been in love once. The difference is pretty big love is intense in all aspects, the good bits are unbelievable and the bad bits are as bad as it gets.

I get the sinking tummy feeling when they walk into a room with a crush but there's a heavy dose of fear and hope involved with love that you don't get with crushes at all.

Yes, a Crush is someone you want to be with,

while Love is someone you don't want to be without.

Isn't that just the distinction of whether you are with them or not?

Crush is like watching a chocolate cake but can' t eat any of it.

Love is like watching the cake and eating it.

I think both have much more feelings/sensations in common than differences.

why cake? can't it be pizza?

my idea is this:

a "crush" is not able to be traded for "love" ever.

i had some "crushes" when i was a child and also into my teens.
with a "crush", i felt that the sight of my "crush object" was a very heady sensation. i wanted to act just right to impress that "utterly beautiful" person.
if she looked at me i would try to think my best thoughts and behave in a way that her gaze may rest upon me for a while.

the heart flutters and the idea of union with that person is mind blowingly euphoric.

but if some one like god said "if you trade the life of your pet cat, then you will achieve that union you dream of with her", then i would decide to keep my cat alive without hesitation.

it would be such a drag to have to choose between them, but i actually love my pets and it is a stronger force than infatuation with delightful girls.

a mother who has a child may meet some man who can satisfy her completely. if she was asked to decide between having a continued relationship with that man, or having her children well cared for and happy,, then she would certainly choose her children unless she has some psychopathic traits.


love is conviction, and crushes are titillations. that is my present view.

Love is like licking the whole Box clean

well that's simply the pure love. not including anything else.

Well, the chocolate increases the production of Oxytocin , I am not sure if there is anything in the pizza that does.

What an immature fairytale false thought.

Even the parents' love toward their children is not unconditional.

you cant just write off an opinion like that.

A crush is just a strong attraction to someone, love is different than that.

If you ask me, I think love is basically short term and long term. Commitment is longer term, it is part of a emotional attachment.

Can someone ask me to give up my 3 parakeets that I have since my birthday?
