1. Owning a pet other than a small/medium dog. (Cat-lovers are not the lovers for me.)

2. Lack of financial stability. (Get a job.)

3. Dishonesty.

4. Narrow-minded.

5. Untidy and/or sloppy. (I set aside time for daily maintenance and a weekly scrub-down, you should too.)

6. We "fight" instead of "arguing" or "disagreeing." (There's a difference. Arguments have a topic.)

7. Lack of mutual trust and respect.

8. Lack of intellectual curiosity. (Smart girls = A++)

9. Smoker (of cigarettes, pot, crack, etc.)

10. Dependent, lacks autonomy and daily living skills. (No, I will not drive you to work every day.)

11. Anything involving the words "anarchism," "patchouli," or "vegan potluck." Progressive politics are okay, "radical anarchist until graduation from private liberal arts school" is not. (See: anti-oppression movements led by white men with trust funds.)

For me, there are only a few things but they are huge and having even one of them, even if the woman was otherwise the woman of my dreams, I would dump her.

1,)Strong political views either way. By strong, I mean, she bashes the other side or anyone who doesn't agree with her, watches MSNBC or FOX religiously like she's following a sport. And these views affect her way of life. In other words, if she's one side or the other, but it isn't a big part of her life or something she converses about regularly, that's fine.

2.)If she gets drunk as a hobby and is the type of person that goes out to bars a few times a week, whether it be to get drunk or for attention from men. In other words, a drunk/flirt.

3.)Consumption of street drugs.

I can't think of any more at the moment, but those are three that would turn me off from even my ideal looking woman.

I agree with all three, maybe not so much with the first one. But the most important is the a**h*le factor, Most, if not all of the things listed in previous posts I fully agree with. But then again, I try to avoid those types, and that's why I have a hard time finding someone-because I think of your average college-aged girl as a slut and a binge drinker, and I don't date that type.

Girls who "use" you..

Girls who break your heart are "trash".. girls who use you under the guise of dating don't even deserve to be called "trash".

Example from a few years ago:

Had this girl that I went out with for a while but lost interest for a few months and stopped contact. One day, she asks me to drive her 70 miles for a job interview. I flat out refuse and she offers to pay me $40 to drive her.. WTF. (She doesn't have a car or license at this point.) I offered to take her there just this time and refused her money. Later, she treated me to dinner and a cheap movie.

A few weeks later, she has another job interview at 6 in the morning and basically begs me by acting sweet and helpless to take her there. I give in and take her there. She treats me to dinner yet again.

Then she wants to practice driving using my car after getting her permit but not license. I refuse but she acts "sweet" again to beg me into letting her (while i sat there.) I give in again and this time, she scratches my car doors while parking it. She outright refuses to pay for it. At this point, I was pissed at her.. a few days later, I promised to drive her to the mall for shopping and I did but left her stranded there until late in the evening. Since she didn't have that many friends and the public transportation in LA is sh***y, she was truly stranded there but I eventually picked her up after dark (long enough to give her a good scare.) We never had any direct contact after that incident..

The single biggest dealbreaker for me is if she's a smoker. I can't tolerate it at all.

Are you serious? I'd think not, but I honestly can't tell.

The Check Please cracked me up. You shouldn't offer to do something you're not willing to follow through with.

I am referring to the fact that there are Christians that believe that any sexual act not leading to pregnancy is evil (referred to as "sodomy"). My ex was one of them, and that's why I left her. She was unwilling to do them, and if I had watched porn or cheated on her, she would have dumped me and given her family and friends the whole "men are pigs" speech.

Not leading to pregnancy? That is pretty strict. It rules out using protection. Hmmmmm. I guess that's how the Duggars got 18 kids. But you clearly don't want that. Neither do most people. Even the most vanilla ordinary people like the option of birth control.

etc etc

1) Dishonest/manipulative
2) Excessive party goer or expects me to party as well
3) Unable to enjoy a calm, intellectual discussion
4) Lack of appreciation for my music (as in what I've composed and perform on the piano not my musical tastes)

Ideally I just want someone who can be an unconditional source of emotional support. Someone to cuddle with and share my aspirations, anxieties etc. without them judging me. I would give them that in return and whatever else I can.

*Their taken. No boyfriends, husbands, fiances, crazy ex's, nothing. They have to be 100%, absolutely single, with no involvement with any other guy(s)
*Dishonesty. Some white lies and playful fibbing I'm OK with, but when it comes to serious or important matters, I want the truth.
*Heavy drinking, smoking weed, or doing any other drugs. I don't mind drinking occasionally, but I don't want an alcoholic, or a druggie.
*Flirting around with other guys, or attention seeking behavior.
*Lack of loyalty or respect for me.
*Reckless behavior that could get me hurt or put in jail.
*No job. They have to have a job, or at least trying to find one. I don't want someone that will constantly mooch off me, or get me into finacial trouble.
*No users

I do want to have a family, though. But I can't be with someone who thinks sex should only be for procreation.

Fits me pretty well. For me personally, I'll add:
5) Superficial.

-likes dogs (sorry, but I much prefer cats)
-shallow
-ignorant/narrow-minded
-unintelligent
-immature
-irrational
-wants marriage at any point in time
-wants children at any point in time
-expects me to 'take care' of her (I have zero interest in coddling the weak)
-is concerned with looks/money/power/material things
-untrustworthy
-disrespectful
-is not straightforward in what she wants (I have neither time nor willingness for stupid mindgames)
-unfaithful
-is already taken
-is younger than 18
-is abusive in any way, shape or form
-smoker
-heavy drinker
-has no sense of direction in life
-is Republican
-is overly religious/cannot accept the fact that I do not practice a religion, nor do I have any religious beliefs
-is using me in any way, shape or form

I believe that my standards, as they are currently, are near-impossible (if not completely impossible).
I've never had a gf and I seriously doubt I ever will. And honestly, I'm completely fine with that.
