Kind of hard to have companionable silence when you’re not in the same space. Phone calls area lways more awkward than anything else. In typed conversation, youhave no aquard pauses, not blank spots of “ummmm” and waiting for something to come up to say, and in in-person visits, you can just sit together, maybe listening to music or reading together.

So if you two can have conversations that last for HOURS, on the phone, and you’re still doing it after 2 years, you’re doing amazingly well. Most people have gotten bored and wandered off by now, a long time back.

So yes, he cares for you. He has developed a habit at any rate. I think he needs your companioship in much the same way you value and cherish his.

So stop worrying about it.

well, we talk on msn. only had one phone call, and that was awkward.
thanks for the heartening words. i guess your right, internet friends really dont last too long for me, so this is good. :)

on msn? yeah, i guess. but it never goes too far. usually he'll just say hey or something. and then send me links of funny stuff he's looking at. but if there isnt anythign to say, we just sort of have the msn open and dont really talk. XD
