16 year olds can drive. Sometimes they can go to jail too.

People just don't understand what it's like to be a 15 year old in a 20 year old's body.

Lot of aspies who are like teens socially and emotionally still get married to adults. I have no idea where I am at, maybe 17, and my husband is 34. My husband says teens but he says he's younger too.

I think limiting yourself to age is stupid and I only go for personality and interests.

OK, its really no big deal especially if you're not having sex. Honestly, how much difference does a 16 and 20 year old make? When strangers see the two of you hang out in the street, they would probably think you two are the same age anyways, and if you have the mind of a 16 year old then its not creepy at all.

While the theoretical debate on the age of consent is interesting, I'd urge the OP to think long and hard before acting on any romantic feelings towards <18's, particularly in the Anglo-American countries, where perception plays a big part, and you don't even have to act on sexual desires for you to end up on a sex offenders registry.

If I could find a young-looking 19 year old girl with a giggly, innocent personality, I'd go for her, but honestly, most of the girls my age that I know are total ass holes, so why bother? I've only ever met one girl who was worth being in a relationship with, and she was 15. I was 17-18 at the time.

I'm sorry I was so harsh. I thought Monkey would want to know how a parent of the teenager he wants to hang out with would feel about it.
It is hard to be a 15 year old in a twenty-year-old body. None the less, there are social and legal rules. There are perceptions. It is so hard to protect our children from having experiences that end up scarring them. Perhaps I'm an over reactor. Being molested as a child makes you one.

What traits are considered "worth being in a relationship" to you?

Well, acting like they find me repulsive, using me for money and trying to get me hooked on drugs, and accusing me of stalking them are not traits that I look for. These are some of the things I've had to deal with from girls my age. Ideally, the girl I'm with should like me for who I am, and appreciate my feelings for her. Another trait that I look for is not being a sIut, and this girl wasn't. In fact she would giggle awkwardly every time someone would mention something sexual, which indicated a sort of innocence in her. Once girls reach a certain age, they stop thinking "That guy's cute" and start thinking "I just want to get laid." They also become overly judgmental, and begin to value maturity and social skills over everything else, something that I don't have.

you, like many, many guys here obviously have no idea how real girls act and base this assumption on a few experiences
and to make it seem alright to ask you relate it to AS
liking jailbait has nothing to do with AS

How can I misinterpret something that actually happened to me? When a girl calls me when I'm at work and lies to me saying she got in a car crash and needs to get to the hospital to get me to give her money so she can go buy drugs, it kind of reflects on whatever demographics she's in. I am generally attracted to someone who will see my as good companion and not just a ret*d. And like I said, 16 years old is not jailbait where I live. Stop turning my desire to enter into a completely legal non-sexual relationship into an issue about pedophilia.

Well that would probably be me except I'm 24 and taken.

I think you're starting to make stereotypes here. I don't think all 20 year old girls are drug addicts who needs money to buy drugs. Plus a lot of people, both male and female, start doing drugs and getting laid in their mid teens (getting laid illegally and the drugs thing illegal too) so I don't really know where you get the impression that girls in their mid teens are particularly "innocent"
