I don't really care for the idea of Valentine's Day and would be willing to ignore it in a relationship, though if the other party seemed like a real romantic type I may not bring up the matter at all and just try to do something special anyway. I can see it perhaps being more of a liability than anything else, but perhaps I'm just taking small comforts here.

Forget about valentines day - Tueday is Pancake day! So much more important. :)

QFT. If you truly love someone, you'll love him/her no matter what day of the year it is, even if it's, say, August 15th (the day "opposite" valentines day on the calendar, if you will)...
