Because you know, it is easier to invent some new word to apply to oneself and make oneself feel better for 2 seconds, instead of fixing the actual problem for good.

problem? for those that like curvy, full figured, a few extra pounds or BBW it is not a problem at all. Don't tell me you have a prejudice against fat people, Dilbert!

If I were the woman on the top I'd eat anything I wanted for a week...a week because that's how long it'd take me to to start looking more like the woman on the bottom.

Also... for the record a girl doesn't have to have a wide frame to be considered curvy.

Although this type is more rare, it is entirely possible for a "tiny" person to still have curves. This is usually the kind of chick who men find themselves asking, "How the hell does she fit so much body into that small frame?!" lol

And here I thought men were thinking "oooh cuuuurveeessss". (A little projection never hurt anybody)

This was on the first page of google images for "curvy." Looks fat to me.

Curvy is mostly used by fat people who want to feel better without fixing the problem. Some women have "curves" without fat, but that's not what the word seems to refer to anymore. Probably because of how many people are overweight. There are genuine "curvy" people, but the word doesn't seem to refer to those people anymore.

Big boobs and a gigantic butt, maybe a bit tubby too. The kind of girl that the stereotype of a black man's favorite is (the stereotype, not necessarily the truth, but definitely true in some cases).

Think Queen Latifah.

Curves are popular shapes. Some curves are more popular than other curves. Smooth curves tend to be the more popular. Cars have curves. Some rocks have curves. Well, you can find them in almost any kind of object, really, even stuff like trees or fingernails. They are typically lines with non-abrubt bends.

I would guess that someone played around and decided to mess with her dimensions a little (may not have been far from the truth though). Either way - I'm not sure if you even could at that point, she might need a tube in her arm at this point :( .

Curvy on the other hand - from a guy's perspective - when its a good thing it means that she gives all the impressions of a ripened berry (and may in fact make your mouth water about as much).

That said though - where would you all put Gemma Arterton in Clash of the Titans? 'Curvy' or slightly under?

Women have a natural tendency to gain in their hips and thighs, whether they're thin or fat. It's hormonal. I'm stick thin and can pass for a boy, but my hips are still distinctly wider than my waist. To have a truly boyish figure, a woman has to starve herself, and if she wants to have a skinny figure with no ass and huge breasts, she has to starve herself AND get a boob job...it's completely artificial. The only folks who have that kind of shape naturally are teenagers who aren't fully developed yet. Any healthy woman is going to have some curves until her hormones give out and she goes through menopause. If you're fat and shaped like a basketball...well, I said "healthy".

LOL That this question would be asked of a girl like this is laughable.

Most guys who claim to appreciate "curvy," would call her skinny, and most girls who are obsessed with being Hollywood or Supermodel skinny would call her fat.

Lol, well - I'm neither Hollywood model obsessed nor Puerto Rican so, I'd call her build dead-aim for my tastes.

...and yes, to say something like that means I need to take a good look in the mirror as well and keep a sense of where I'm at and where I'm going.
