The business man just sat in a a neutral position smiled and asked for a coffee.

Im not joking when I say that the waitresses behavior went on for months. They really were that
stupid and totally oblivious to who I was.

There was a very quite polite Asian girl there at one stage I think she might have been Korean or Japanese. She
would always remember me. But she would remember everybody's drinks. There was no socializing or chit chat like the other girls just good service.

I just had an idea about what it might be.
It might have been the way that the other players at the table regarded the business man rather than anything specific about his actions. I remember now that the Lebanese were never forgotten. I think it was because when they showed up as a new player an existing Lebanese play would make a big deal out of him. There was chest punching "respect bro respectttt ......" talk of how so and so was the greatest player ever and general confirmation that he was a socially important person.

Maybe thats what the girls were reacting to. They were subconsciously picking up on who the table though was important and remembering them ?

I don't think so, they just sound like thick heads. Dumb people often forget things like this, or in this case people unless they are blatently waved in front of their face, and quiet people aren't so they're too stupid to realise they're there. I wouldn't be too offended. Usually people who give a good service had more of a brain, like university students who do part time waitressing.

Just never ever underestimate people's stupidity. Ever.

(I'm not claiming to be perfect myself, but I've been around with a lot of different types of people)

Yeah could well be. People respond to all that, and we aspies tend to make very little of our status. The obvious thing to try here is to make more of a big deal of yourself, and see if it changes anything. Hold yourself like you matter, and people treat you like you matter. Another thing I do these days that people seem to notice is to smile warmly and generously and genuinely. People remember you if you make them feel good.
