Asking friend/ sibling to set you up w/ the person you like?

Setting up can certainly work.

However I ´m going to suggest that you ask someone who is starngly connected to the person you want to be set up with.

If someone I didn´t know tried to set me up with another person I would refuse to go, however if it was a person I trusted the one that was doing it I would accept without caring for who the person I ´m going to be set up is, just to show the person that is setting me up I trust them.

I do too, it's a comfort thing on my end.
