Have you ever been 'beaten to it' by another guy/girl?
Yeah, I've pussed out or misread the situation lots of times. I don't think I've looked to steal someone's girlfriend intentionally before either. The 'whole snooze you lose' and 'all is fair in love and war' may be guiding aphorisms for life. It seemed unethical at the time but I can't say I am any better off for having principles.
I knew a guy who broke up with his long term girlfriend and she immediately started another relationship with another guy. He wanted her back. Since he was small and gawky, he ended up hiring three big guys to beat the living crap out of the new guy. I don't know how he worked it, but he ended back with her and eventually married her. Last I heard, he has a nice career where he gets to work and hang around lots of professionial athletes.

Ugh, I can't tell who in that story is the most distasteful. That's a very sad story. I guess they deserve one another.
Uhh, no offense, but it sounds to me like you're the one "reeking with douchebag" in this scenario... you're getting all condescending with her job, and you loudly proclaim that this "whore" isn't "going anywhere in life". While that may actually be the case, your presentation of the situation is very self-centered and narcissistic...
1) Why start a relationship before you're certain? It's impossible to get to know someone that quickly, and getting into a relationship with someone that you haven't had the benefit of at least knowing for some time is one of the dumbest ideas i've ever heard. \
2) some men, myself included, just on principle don't talk to women we don't know (in many cases, the men as well), due to the possible negative repercussions...
