I know that lying is definitely an issue with my AS man, but it is usually minor things (I hope). He does it a lot, though, and just keeps at it even when I call him on it. It can be frustrating because I am a completely, totally honest person to a fault and have always expected it of my mate. My biggest fear is his cheating on me. I can't tell if he really loves me, and I can't tell if he is telling the truth when he gets all mad at me for "accusing" (I am constantly referred to as a "pain in the dupa" for giving him the 5th degree over just about everything) him of something he claims to believe is morally wrong. However, he works until 4 or 6 am (goes to work at 3pm) and is supposed to work until 1 am or so. He actually clocks out, so there is no record his time is spent there, and he insists that he is working. I have checked and it's true (he manages at a fast food restaurant). I have been wondering if this working until wee hours without pay or recognition is part of the Asperger's, he is trying to be alone, or he has some form of ADD as well. I would love a book that could help me help him to get this to a point where we can be together in some sense like I dream.
