I could have Rachel as a friend. Like I've said, she's really hesitant about starting relationships. Friendships too. I heard she was Peter Pan fan, so I drew her a picture. Hopefully, it'll start a conversation between the two of us. When I knocked on the door of her classroom to give it to her, her face went bloody. When I saw her walk by at dismissal, we took parting glances, and she quickly walked away.

Incredibly unhealthy cynicism aside, you're ignoring the one most useful piece of advice in this entire thread: if you start ignoring her (or at least not give her as much attention) and she really likes you, she will pursue you because she misses your attention. At that point, you pretty much win. She's coming to you, all you have to do is say "yes". If she doesn't, you can continue playing this cat-and-mouse game, which honestly doesn't look like it'll end in your favour at all, or you can find somebody else who isn't as super shy. But if you keep pressing this hard, you might scare her away. Give her some space.
