Someone who is:

kind to people and animals

sensible/intelligent

humorous

eats well, exercises, and enjoys quality media

dresses well

understands politics and embraces counter culture

Interesting, smart, caring, physically attractive to me, likes me.

i like this list. it's really open-ended, and allows a variety of people through the door...

Acceptance

1. Healthy

-Non-smoker.

Thats about it.

I wonder if any women are looking for someone like that, I only fail at the music thing.
Although the part about humor isn't 100% clear to me...

Nah, when I'm 80 I'd like my list to be just
"who wants to stay with me like all these past years"
(sad to be 80 and still be looking for someone... a bit late to start a family, IMO)

Someone who will give me a chance.

Someone who loves me for myself, is my age or at least reasonably close to it (I'm 32) and has a place to live and does not mind me moving in with them.

1. Someone who is honest and will be faithful to me.
2. Someone who will accept me for who I am.
3. Someone who is mellow and rarely loses her temper.
4. Someone who is kind, gentle, and considerate of others.
5. Someone who is not too young (18 at the very youngest) or too old (no more than 15 years older).
6. Someone who is tolerant of others and does not harbor prejudice against anyone on the basis of skin color, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, social status, economic condition, etc.
7. Lastly, and least importantly, someone who is at least somewhat attractive to me (she doesn't have to be a beauty queen, but she can't look like Janet Reno, either).

if i were poor ol' janet, i'd be right 'bout now. i guess i'm a male version of the janet reno archetype, but with far less noodlepower.

broad good humor means a person finds much in life to be amusing, and is never into cruel humor that finds laughter at other people's expense.

The following are attractive traits:
* being good-looking
* being not only good-looking but unusual; for instance, being particularly tall or short
* appearing responsible: busy, hard-working, self-confident, independent

People don't have to have all or even most of these things. These are bonuses. Women who seem mean, or very religious, or very conservative, may put me off somewhat. Otherwise I'm attracted to about half of my female peers.

*a sense of calmness (how to say ... not a heap of bottled up issues. I want to be a partner, not a mom or a counsellor)

How does such a relationship work, and what would the general scenario be like?
