Play an instrument: parents couldn't afford it XD , too late to excel such thing as adult.

Volunteer: I might join the red cross.....but seeking women as motif for volunteering and doing something for the world is stupid.

Play sport

Hoofing a ball into the teeth of a howling gale is not glamorous or sexy, and you're unlikely to be able to rouse your lady friend to come and watch. But believe it or not, playing pub football is sending out all the right signals. In fact, so is playing any team sport

'Team sports'......I am so horrible at that!

Photograph things: They bore me!! !

Do some DIY

.....I only DIY computer-related stuff.....

...and here's five turn-offs
Finally, here's five hobbies that are not the turn-on you think they are.

Cooking: too Jamie Oliver, too last year, and everybody's at it.
Surfing: cool, yes, but few women want to hang around on windswept British beaches.
Wine appreciation: drink it, yes, but don't bang on about the origins of the grape.
Playing records: yes, you're a DJ. Yes, you have your own decks. No, it's not the same as playing a proper instrument.
Drawing: so you want her to be your life model. No way, Picasso.

I found out this to be true for Cooking.

Stupid article by the way.

I have most of those as my hobbies - surfing is more of a turn-on in California or somewhere with a Mediterranean to tropical coastal climate. I'm a horrible artist unless I'm holding a camera or fondling a mound of clay on a potter's wheel though. And I don't drink wine either. I can cook too if need be.

And you don't need play a typical team sport to be active. I run and cycle quite a bit. And look at my av as well.

It all depends on the sort of women you're trying to impress.

Some women are impressed by guys who know everything about cars
Some are impressed buy guys who excel at their job
Some are impressed by being good at sport
Others impressed by how much you know about a certain subject etc

Still others are impressed by the fact that you're not trying to impress them.

Oh definately! If you make women laugh, that does impress. My husband is hilarious and always has been and that's one of my favorite qualities. He doesn't tell jokes or play pranks or ridicule people. Instead he makes wry, humerous observations about life like Jerry Seinfeld or Steven Wright (or any good standup comedian, really). Musicians always get the girls but comedians do too.

Face-of-Boo is the most hilarious person on this board and hopefully is like that in real life. Being funny is a good thing.

I don't think you need to excel necessarily. I've played some of my very ramshackle songs to ladies before, and they found them quite charming... I think it's all about the spirit you put into things. But then, if you have that down, you can pretty much be impressive doing anything.

If people think you like something to try and impress them then its not attractive at all. Those are just examples of guenuine hobbies girls find attractive in men. Hobbies they like whether a girl likes them or not.

Driving an expensive car, this is the hobby women like most to see

Depends on the car, Ferrari would be too loud, a Lamborghini would be that plus too big and ugly for a lot of girls, and the majority of them would probably be turned off by other supercars. A scientific study (involving horomone tests) showed that more women are turned on by the sound of a Maserati than any other car. A BMW M3 wouldn't give a compliant enough ride but the average Benz would definitely make the average woman feel special. "Diesel whores" would most be impressed by a red 5 speed Cummins Ram with black wheels, a lift kit, super swampers, etc. Only women I want to get with want Evo IXs, 300ZX TTs, Eclipse GSXs, MR2 Turbos, 240sxs, etc.

I highly recommend:

rock measuring
dumpster diving
soda gargling
casket designing
and stalking people with certain hairstyles.

Here's a good way to impress women. Be comfortable with who you are. If you are comfortable around yourself, women will be too.

- Loving sci fi movies, Star Trek, Dr Who, etc
- Being a massive gamer/ Call of Duty, Fallout 3, etc fan
- Listening to prog rock, and heavy metal
- Being an academic and talking about English language and literature all the time
- Drinking cups of tea

See, girls must love my hobbies! :P No wonder I'm beating them away with a pointy stick (sarcasm)

PSHT. WHY NOT? I love all of those things! Well, apart from the heavy metal. I prefer more punk/rock.
