if I see a girl who I am interested in I will look away... but I will look back on several occasions to see if she is looking at me. From what Iv seen girls do a similar thing and this back and forth of little glances can be somewhat exciting.

That's the general idea, but a girl at my college kept looking at me in lessons even though she didn't seem too interested in actually talking to me at all, so you never really know...

I'm sure that is a common problem as its happened to me too. Unfortunately a lot of things in this world are hard to fathom, especially when it comes to courting & dating.

Judging by the comments here, it seems that looking away first could mean anything. Kind of pointless, in a way, I have found this could apply to just about anything; doing something could imply one thing about yourself, or its opposite.

This is kind of confusing me, because the girl I have a crush on and myself glance at each other a lot (I think I do stare a bit though  , she always breaks eye contact first) and people tell me I am probably tricking myself... :? It is hard, when you are too scared to go up and talk to her, how to figure out someone's intentions.

Especially since I am really new to it...
