I've never been on a date and I've had several good relationships. Eons ago when I was in high school I thought that dating was old-fashioned and artificial, but here we are all these years later and the ritual persists. Rather than go out on dates, I would just rather get to know someone, and I would like to settle down with them eventually.

The poll seems to reflect that only males visit this forum? Yet a number of females have posted in the thread?

well according to the poll in the stats forum there is almost a 50-50 m/f split here. As for the question. I'm beginning to think that I don't actually want anything. I like my own space and time too much

In less contradictory-sounding terms, this means I'd like to have either a number of friends with benefits or a series of short term relationships, without feeling tied to a relationship for the long term, and without feeling that my time is tied up by tending to my sexual relationships.
