Anyway the OP said it's his special interest, therefore (if he's anything like me) he thinks about it constantly to the point where it can take over his life sometimes. To me so-called special interests are not always a good thing. I have a problem with the attitudes of some in the "Aspie" culture in general who seem to consider obsession a virtue.
From the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria for AS:

Maybe we should start calling them 'abnormal interests', or 'abnormal obsessions'. For me there was nothing special about the occasions when I could talk about little else besides my interest.
