One could argue that the Love and Dating forum is a misleading sample for such a poll.

Not sure where in the forum would give a fair sample, tbh.

i see men in relationships all over the forum, but hardly any of them are in L & D.

Exactly: Once a guy is in a relationship, his problem is solved. Once a girl gets into a relationship, her problems are just beginning...

If you're just talking about comparing men vs. women, nowhere on WP is good. If you're talking about comparing men with AS vs. women with AS, I think Adult Autism Issues would be better than this place. I find more men in relationships frequent that place, and the single men don't appear to be put off.

Even better, perhaps, would be one of the more general off-topic subforums, but then I suppose it would get moved.

just that you used the phrase 'the BS that women have it easier' or something like that.

I was indicating that "women have it easier" was, in fact, BS... sorry if that caused any confusion.

On the other hand, one thing that isn't BS is that everyone, male or female, has it easier than me, because I am unlovable... but that's my problem, and my lot in life, and I don't blame anyone else for it.

I'd go for adult, and it wouldn't be off topic there.

I don't really think this topic is leading to any usefull information... only unreliable results and discussions about who is most piteous. Wel, it isn't me, I don't need pity.

Count me in if the pillows are filled with fluffy hypoallergenic feathers. But they seem more to be filled with rocks in this here place.

Reading L&D reminds me of this stanza. I take comfort in it and use it as a truth. I'm going to take that fork in the road, find more than one purpose, and see if a different kind of happiness awaits.

"Well it takes real guts to be alone
Going head to head with the great unknown
But there is no sweeter sound
On the kings road I'm bound
I'm just waiting for that chance to come..."

And have a nice day!

If it's gonna be a pillow fight, someone needs to bring the pillow!

I've been told by guys - repeatedly - that it doesn't matter WHAT a woman looks like she can find a man to satisfy the physical urges simply by showing up any place where men congregate. That urge to procreate is excessively strong in the male and none too picky when push comes to shove. Women on the other hand, while also given urges to procreate are hard wired to look for A) a good provider B) hot sexy man genes thus ensuring the best genetics for her offspring. Frequently these two things do not coincide in a single specimen.

So - the theory goes - guys will do ANYTHING not fast enough to run away (like Fate the pillow up there^^^) and women will marry the rich guy but run around with the hot latino gardener the second her hubby leaves for work.

Was that enough stereotyping? Cause I got more.

And, is it just me or does anyone wonder how often he washes his 'wife'?
