You can block people from posting app stuff on your wall.

Don't both using Facebook!
A 40-year-old friend of mine (not with Asperger's syndrome or autism, btw) told me how they noticed it was simply a haven for Cialis spammers, advance fee fraud and penis enlargement spam, and the worst place to meet people.

I had an account, but permanently deleted it after getting endless spam requests and spam friend requests.

In short, Facebook isn't as grand as people think.

Just to correct you, you cannot permanently delete your facebook account. You can only deactivate it, but facebook still maintains your information on it.

But when they share it to their wall and it appears in your feed, it cannot be blocked unless you block the person.

I use Facebook to keep in touch with the people I know. Especially the ones from other countries or university. I never add people I don't know so no scam or "bad date worry" for me :D I also don't "like" stuff except maybe some photos of my friends. So I find Facebook useful.

Oh... I thought you could do that by blocking the app itself.

It used to be that way when they had to give permission to an app. Now they like a page and share from there. Because they're sharing a post made on another page. It's like when someone posts an article I'm interested in so I share it. Then all my friends see that I've posted an article and it will say WeFunction via OriginalSource posted a link... That's what they're doing now with their pink polk-dot limited edition easter horses and other nonsense. Your options are to hide that individual post, hide all posts by the person who's doing this crap, or report for spam. I just report for spam because it really is nothing more than spam.

Huh... I haven't come across that problem. I do vaguely recall it being mentioned to me some months back, though.

I don't understand why someone would share a farmville update, though. That's just weird to me.

Wow, and I thought my 173 was low. To me fair, though, they're mostly family that live out of state. lol

Tea comes from a Mormon family. 8O

I dont have a lot of family on mine, only my brother, his fiance and my cousin. I only joined in late february too so I havent accumulated a lot of friends yet. But I think I like a small number, I am not sure I could handle a big friend list. I also like being abnormal and having a tiny list when everyone else has big ones.

I find that having family on the facebook is a lot more trouble than it's worth. I'd rather just have friends (ie. family that you choose) and people who share hobbies/interests.

A lot of people have said that to me, but I haven't had any issues. The family that makes the cut knows to expect me to be crude and very outspoken.

I do tend to refrain from commenting on most things friends post, though. I've inadvertently sent someone's teen daughter into a depressive fit where she started cutting herself and picking. I didn't even know her daughter had those types of issues.
