Okay, I'm already thinking that's she's a bit offbeat. But by your recent post from this afternoon, it sounded too good to be true. But not every girl works at an art house theater. However, artsy people tend to be in relationships, or so I've seen.

I hate to pull the "there's plenty of fish in the sea" out of my rear end, but it's true.

Lots. During the fall semester of 2010, I acquired a completely ridiculous amount of numbers (probably 13 or 14?) from girls that were friends of friends, randoms and only like one or two turned into dates. This past semester, I acquired a bunch of numbers (much less than 13, I think). I stopped taking numbers unless it was non-verbally obvious the girl liked me as it saves a modicum of embarrassment. They get this friendly deer in the headlights look when they like you.

It's nice to be able to blow off steam here on this forum. A great counterbalance to always trying to be smiling and polite on the outside whilst feeling utterly self loathing and ugly on the inside.

I hope you're feeling a bit better after blowing off some steam. Have you considered only doing film stuff part time and getting another part time job?

No need. Doing quite well doing just what I love. Sure I wish I were making more, but that's not why I'm doing what I'm doing. I'm in it to make a masterpiece that will endure. Money and accolades are nice, and if I stick it out, maybe they'll come too. And then perhaps someone out there will see I'm worth something and give me a chance.

Doesn't make it hurt any less. There's a caveat to that saying, too. Sure, there may be 300+ million people in this country, but the realm in which you'll be participating will be a very small fraction of it.

Well you obviously do have a need: Meeting people. That was what I was getting at.
If you won't try other means to meeting people such as working for a place where you can easily, you'll just have to accept not knowing many.
