The big loud secret that most of these guys don't want to hear is that being the older guy in the room trying to act like you are younger is not only not hip, but horribly unattractive to most women.

I've seen the ruins of the male mid-life crisis and it's not pretty.

It may be worth considering if every one of your interests is really guys-only. You might want to take stock of your passive interests [1] and see if any of them might have, say, a meetup.com group in your area.

[1] "passive interests" here can mean those things you found to be interesting, but haven't made time for yet
