This is probably one of the best places to people watch in my opinion, as there is a nice mix of people from around the world and other parts of the country. This is where I had my epiphany that hair styles don't go out of date. They just move east until they hit the wave of hairstyles moving west somewhere just west of the Mississippi (joke) thus the reason for tornadoes in Oklahoma(/joke)

I also find it interesting how many people dress up to go to Disneyland.

I shudder to think of the carnage that will result when the "Faux-Hawk" hits Kansas - it may be even worse than the "Mullet"

You left out a correction for time and aging. The average relationship didn't begin yesterday so many of these men may have pulled their partners before they were pudgy, balding men with goatees.

That's a fair criticism, but on what basis can you conclude that a relationship would be impossible in their present physical state?

My list was based on what I perceived to be the most common traits observed for men who were obviously in relationships - surely such men can't be universally undesirable?

Disclosure: Lest I be accused of bias, I personally have none of the characteristics listed.

(I'm 6' tall, not overweight, not balding, not into sports-related clothing, wouldn't be caught dead in a polo shirt, no facial hair, not an ethanol enthusiast)

I'm certainly not claiming to be "better", but I have basically none of the characteristics of what appear to be the most successful males.

I never said it was impossible but I think it's not clear what you are measuring. Getting a relationship and maintaining a long term one are two different ballgames.

The average married senior citizen is married to a wrinkly old prune. But there is more than appearance binding them together at that point.

I'm around that height. I'm not balding. I tried the goatie look but I didn't like it. I usually wear jeans and t-shirts. I don't like beer or alcohol in general.
I think the last one is what's killing me. It seems there's an expectation for men to like drinking, and those who don't must be uptight jerks I guess.

I don't know if not liking alcohol is "killing" you, I personally think that anyone who has a problem with my generally alcohol-free lifestyle isn't compatible anyway.

Just to be clear, I don't mind if my partner drinks (as long as it's not excessive) - isn't it nice to have a volunteer "designated driver" anyway?

But back to the OP - my point was that your greatest chance of success statistically is to be "average" (and to settle for someone average, of course) - I wasn't necessarily advocating overeating/baldness/etc - I was just trying to make a point a little bit different than the conventional wisdom around here...

Into a really cute cat. That looks slightly drunk.
