You may be right, but I have encountered that question among the first I have been asked (in non-flirting situations) all too often. It is a pet peeve of mine. It is almost as if they are asking how much money I make!

I think you should have fought the instinct for a protracted polite conversation and made more of the touch by joking about it. Then turned that into overt flirting.

Random question: were any/most/all of the five from Connecticut?

This morning I saw a pic on Facebook of five girls somewhere in NYC last night, including a blonde named Laura. I don't know if they were at Ghostland, but considering the one of the five I do know - it might not surprise me though. I'm waiting for a small world moment...

Didn't ask where they were from - could very well have been Connecticut (or New Mexico, for that matter...)

But seriously, one of the most interesting things I saw last night was ease with which (physical) Alphas score. Things I/we agonize over for years are absolutely trivial matters for them. They don't have to be funny, smart, or even nice to basically select the woman of their choice. Of course the women they select aren't exactly prizes (except maybe physically) themsleves.

Still, I can't help but be envious, even if they're playing a game I'm not interested in...
